I lived in Naples, Italy when my father was stationed there years ago and I found that I became an Italian food snob once I came back to the States due to my experiencing amazing Italian cuisine while living overseas. 😍 I whole heartedly agree with your food reviews in this video and Via Napoli is one of my favorites at WDW! After watching your video, I’m suddenly craving prosciutto and melon! It’s an amazing combination on their own and delicious on a pizza.

I genuinely loved Pizzerizzo, when I went! I absolutely love the muppets, so that didn’t hurt. We got our pizza and our little salad, which was actually really nice when we’d been eating theme park food for a week. We probably needed that salad more than we’d have admitted

Via Napoli story... My late husband died in 2017 after a long battle with a sudden terminal illness. My kids and I were down and depressed as you might imagine so... 4 months after he died I decided to surprise the kids with a trip to Epcot to cheer them (and me) up because we love Disney. We wandered a bit aimlessly all morning trying to have some fun and forget our troubles until we got hungry and we stumbled upon the gem that is Via Napoli. Our server seemed to sense we were not feeling super great emotionally because he was the kindest, most generous and attentive person to us. That pizza was fantastic and between the great food and his cheerful attitude we all finally had some genuine smiles on our faces when we left.

You know, I agree with a lot of the things you're pointing out, but I think sometimes you just want the quick casual option, and it really hits the spot in that moment. I grew up in the south where people fight over the right way to make biscuits, cornbread, grits, and the like, and if you make it a different way it's 'wrong' or 'not real.' I think it's all good, and if you like the flavor, who cares if it's 'authentic.'

At PizzaRizzo, I actually think the meatball sub is not bad. It's not amazing, but it's less expensive than many other Disney quick service items, and if you are craving meat on a bun it is MUCH better than the quick service burgers at various other WDW places. And as you said, lots of seating and there is at least a little theming. I also prefer cannolis without the fruit in them; to me just the sweetened cheese with or without chocolate is best. (I couldn't tell for sure if you said the PizzaRizzo cannoli had fruit in it, but to me the one at Via Napoli looked like it had too many unneeded ingredients.) To me, good Italian food is often about getting good ingredients and not ruining them with too many additions.)
