You are one of a kind. I mean that in a nice way. I’ve never seen anyone training a fish to throw kisses or respond to them. I guess love is a powerful thing.

The best acriflavine product I ever found was Sera's Baktopur. (Baktopur Direct is not the same, it has Nitrifirpunol in) If you cannot find it shoot for Waterlife's Fin rot and Ulcers (Myxazin).

Hello Divana, greetings from Mexico. You have limited us from your valuable videos, I hope you send us more content soon. I would like to know your point of view about the fact that I had a clutch with a high fertilization rate, without fungus, but on the third day, prior to free swimming, the hatched fry detached themselves from the cone, falling and dying (or perhaps they died first and then fell). Thank you.

Can you make a video on how you treat different disease? There seems to be a lot of options and opinions. It had been holding me back from getting these fish. Thx.

Hi, could you tell me, how to convince discus fishes to eat dry food only. My fishes eat only black worms and not prefer dry food, I have tried many good brands food.

I'm so pleased you are sharing videos with us again. Thank you so much. Do you always keep Discus with a light coloured substrate? If so how do you get your plants to grow so well? Thank you 🙂
@discusdivana75812 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul because of the large quantity of tanks I had, barebottom was just easier. I did use either quartz sand, or silica sand, or white river sand in a thin layer if I ever did use some. My plants had Plant specific lights.

Hi. Help Please. My Discus are dying daily, all the water is testing as good. There in ro water , iv been keeping them for 10 years and never had this before, flared gills when breathing, iv treated for parasites and PP the tank and they look fine fish, just carnt seem to fix this, there’s no markings on the fish when they pass. Doing daily water change and the rest of the fish in the fish house are fine , Pleco. All in separate tanks, 😢, Any ideas please

Hello Richard I only see your message now. Are your discus still alive? I did not see your message. It is not necessarily parasitical. It could be a trace of chloramine, use seachem safe if you can or something that dechlorinates the untraceable chloramine or anything wrong. Check your R.O unit parts for anything. Also check your heaters for leakage or droplets, it could be cadmium poisoning. Your fish could have a deficiency perhaps if you do not add trace minerals or feed a variety of food. If none of this applies to you please email a video of the fish to me to discusdivana@gmail.com and let's see if I can see anything on the video. Much love, divana.

Because plecos are tougher than discus, they can often be symptomatic for a long time before they show symptoms. There are also a few blood flagellate protozoa making the rounds worldwide. If you haven't added anything new lately this does not apply to you. I see you use RO water and not tap so might not be chloramines then unless you add water immediately and your RO water membrane is older than 6 months. If ants die in your tank or any bugs, there could be a trace of poison. I am guessing here until I can see a video - so send me a video if you still have fish that are alive. Their body language might tell us what's wrong.

Hello Discus Divana, do you think a 75 gallon tank would be big enough to breed a pair of Discus-size 48 inches long x 18 inches wide x 20 inches tall, really love your Discus. I only feed mine Live Blackworms made the mistake many years ago now this is all they will eat except for frozen bloodworms, which i dont feed much. These Discus get about 8 inches eating these worms, i buy a pound of live blackworms every week for these spoiled Discus, thank you Joe H Navy Seabee

I have a discus pair who has laid eggs around ten times now. Each time they get to day three and they eat the eggs. They are in a quiet room, my bathroom and I keep the front of the tank covered as well. How many times should I wait before I consider trying something different, like rearranging the tank or should I just keep waiting and hope they work it out?
@discusdivana75812 жыл бұрын
Hello! You just gave me my next video idea. If they still eat after 4 times there are many many reasons why this can happen. I'll make a video.
