Much is at stake when Americans head to the polls on November 6. The U.S. Congress, Senate and even some state governors could see changes. The midterms are seen as crucial for the president and the Republican Party’s political agenda. But for allies - and others - around the world, there’s something else - a perception of power. We asked: How do American politics affect Canada? Here’s some of what we heard.

We keep to ourselves. Even while american is currently burning down we're staying out of it. We're very much isolationists. We try to be friendly with everyone on behalf of our noisy neighbours... JUST KIDDING lol dont attack me

Try talking to older people who have seen enough to answer the question from a seasoned long term view. These are totally mind controlled products of a socialist education in our politically controlled universities. We live in a socialist, fast becoming totalitarian country that has been duped for about 70 years or more. Thank God we live near a country that has a loud voice that also has more entrepreneurial citizen journalists of all stripes that is available to Canadians and encourages the few brave Canadian citizen journalists to speak up and show the documentation that proves we are controlled more than we thought. Our Media is all owned by a few families and corporations and is more and more controlled. I do not see much here that shows anything that the mainstream would not want us to know. Canada is following the Venezuelan model. Do not dismiss me. Prove me wrong after doing more real research.
