I worked in a factory making antiperspirant. You melt bars of aluminum down by melting them in hydrochloric acid and water into a thick sticky liquid, its then diluted in water and mostly then dried into a powder.
@JimboTheCrackSmoka8 жыл бұрын
I've always wondered how they actually work and why they work in terms of how you make it. Its fascinating!

I thought they didn't work, but then I tried to not use them and realized that that's just how much I sweat AFTER the antiperspirant cuts it down. I was drenched.
@ariellelewis25092 жыл бұрын
It should be said that antiperspirant should be put on the night before to give it time to seal the sweat. Putting on antiperspirant and leaving the house right after will do NO good lol…gotta wait for that thang to dry.

Hi everybody, they have been studying breast cancer for decades now. One thing I highly encourage everyone to look into, is how long term inflammation affects our health and likelihood of cancer. I think any unnecessary inflammation we put our bodies through is BAD Edit: witch hazel can be a great addition to your hygiene closet. It’s awesome at killing bacteria and tightening pores.

I used to wear a deodorant back in HS and in College and as a sweaty guy i used to have this pit stains the turns my shirts pits into yellowish and its so annoying. I used to hear about Alum powder and its wonders but i was like "lol that thing could fuck up your skin right?" then i tried it and it and i was wrong, turns out it was better than all the deo's that ive used. No odor and no Stain, yes it doesnt prevent sweats neither the deodorant products that i used to use. But it has no stains and no odor, i dont really give a shit about the sweat stains as long as it doesnt smell so yeah, i recommend alum. Now im not afraid to get close to people when im sweating, i dont have to worry about the smell and if you have a dark armpits it might help too.
@I.n-10s10 жыл бұрын
Also its better to use odorless antiperspirant or deodorants to avoid looking like you rub all that stuff into your body just to smell good, you're gonna look like a one huge armpit. lol

Deodorants just don't work for me. I've tried all kinds. They never last. I've also tried alum, witch hazel, vinegar and kaolin. Just don't work more than a couple of hours. I hate using aluminum products but I work in health care and I can't be stinky.
@I.n-10s10 жыл бұрын
then it must be your diet. your sweat basically smells so you have to cut down whatever spicy food that you're into. Alum powder works for me for two days without taking a bath, my arm pits still remains odor free.

Deodorant does just make you smell better, its just aerosolised perfume. An Antiperspirant is different and usually comes out like a powder which then blocks the sweet glands. Lynx just covers the smell

Am I the only one thinking that shoving heavy metals into your pores sounds like a bad idea?
@SaurikSI3 күн бұрын
Not at all, since obviously that was the first question experts had when antiperspirants were invented, we have studied whether aluminum in that form is harmful for us, and found that it’s essentially harmless, since only 0.1% of aluminum passes through the skin barrier into the bloodstream, and from that 0.1% that does push through, our kidneys can easily filter it. For that reason, this can only be a concern for people with kidney diseases.
@DeltaBlackWater7 жыл бұрын
i never knew that stuff had aluminum, as soon as i saw the video's example of how the sweat is prevented, i know that HAS to be harmful in some way. Where does that aluminum go? out? in? nah bruh, nah.
