I have several Doves that visit my feeders and I watch them through my window! Never seen them drink. Very cool!

The way pigeons drink is super interesting! I never had the chance to see a pigeon drink water in the wild. What about chickens? Any surprises with them?

I raised a couple of clutches years ago, and although it was quite some time ago, if I meme r correctly they just drank the normal way, dipping their beaks and tilting back. Though I guess I never thought to pay that close attention to that aspect of them, so I could t say there isn’t anything extra for sure.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't albatrosses and petrels (and possibly other seabirds?) have glands that can extract salt from the seawater they drink?

You are exactly right! Albatrosses, petrels and many others have that ability.
