you might want to try checking the 12 volt input and the grounding and put on your amp and making sure that they're wired properly make sure the ground is hooked into the ground and 12 volt is connected to the 12 volt and get sandpaper and clean the grout in terminal they're going to be grabbing it to make sure it's nice and clean on bare metal and then try it you can try that

Try taking off the fuse under the hood when I first hooked up my amp it did the same thing but one I took that off and put a ground to my seat/frame it worked
@jurmam24294 жыл бұрын
please read fully. Issues could be in 1. Supply 2. Ground 3. input from player to amp 4. speaker wires To debug please remove all inputs to the amp. connect power, if problem persists then issue is in the supply. Either change the wire or put a tube and slip the wire inside the tube. If the incoming fuses are all right then issue is just in the wire/ground. I once spent a day cleaning the headunit (pioneer) because of a loose contact inside the unit. This is very rare. It happens only in physical abuse of the wires .. rats or someone pulling them hard.

@dustinc9338 жыл бұрын
No speakers/load hooked up can cause it on some amps. Solid states don't like no load. Or a short circuit somewhere. Possibly too low of impedance/ohms on the speaker terminals which it sees as a short. Use a meter, look up the amp manual see what it needs.

your having a what's called a ground loop dead ground basically.The amp might be damaged because of low power.So test by: run the ground from battery directly to the ground if amp stays on and plays thats your prob.If amp comes on and stays be cuts off and there's nothing wrong then check batt volt when music plays.If in 12s to hi 11s then and battery to amp til this goes away.1-2 batteries does the trick.The amp is starving for power and always use the larger gauge speaker wire 8 gauge power works miracles to subs. Try this.Tomorrow.Record it I would like to see the difference.Thanks.

always ground the amp first , if u hook up your rca but not rhe ground the amp is going to get ground through the rca which in turn will destroy the ground inside the radio

Your amp is possibly blown but to find out you need a good chassis ground..that won't work where you are putting it..Get yourself s good ground and make sure none of the little strands of wire are touching where hot, ground, and remote go into amp. And unhook any speakers going to the amp and turn it on see what you got.

Lol wow it's been a long time since this video but since I came across it I feel the need to answer to it anyway . Your ground location is horrible for starters , second your ground needs to be secure an tight...ur fingers holding it will cause protection mode to come on just in it self . Grounds need to be solid connections period. Ground it at the seat bolt! Bolts that hold your seat in place are perfect grounding points . I personally make my own with some nuts An bolts but I'd be lying if I said I haven't used seat bolts or rear seat belt bolts.

I have repaired Kickers that failed two ways, Voltage regulator and Rectifier Diode, have repaired Earthquake 400tx that required a new PWM, could have been a shorted mosfet or even an output transistor! my earthquake 700bx is doing somewhat the same thing but I can play music etc, but once it gets to a certain level of loudness is goes into protection. your issue sounds like it might be somethingin the power supply portion of the app. maybe a midget etc. also with my amp. I am running two 10's and they are both 4 ohm and I'm running one off each channel so I know I'm not running at a crazy ohm load, any help will help!

Christopher Stevens try going with a larger gauge of speaker wire. also if running in parallel (non bridged) 4ohms it's 4 ohms of resistance in each channel (but u knew that 🤓) but if in series (bridged) it actually becomes less ohms so 2 ohms of resistance in that single Chanel. each amp has a threshold of resistance which is likely listed on the underpart of the amp. hope this helps.
