With the state some of my Amazon orders arrive in I wish you'd pack my stuff! 😂 My fulfillment center doesn't even bother with air pillows most of the time, and that includes packing small fragile items with 12 pk cases of 18 oz bottled drinks. The handler was so rough with the last one they actually cracked a bottle which leaked all over the box and other contents. The drinks are heavy so they're rough with them.
@taitano12 Жыл бұрын
@@Just1Nora Well, that's because it was fragile. If it wasn't fragile, it would have been packed properly. They'd pack one of 4key's normal books in nothing but one of those plastic bags they've got and it would arrive looking like it was already ancient and used. All bent and dog-eared like an 80 year old's favorite childhood book, that they still read. Edit: When I worked there the packaging was decided by an AI. One of the pet peeves of the packers was how often it clearly chose the wrong packaging to recommend, and they would often get in trouble for using something else. Thing is, it would allot and deliver a predetermined number of each type of packaging material, and deviating from the specified packaging would throw off the count. It would genuinely bog things down if you had to stop and get a more appropriate package. Usually they just used a bigger box or bag than necessary, but sometimes the Artificial Unintelligence would assign a package that was too small and you'd have no choice but to do something different.

Your attention to detail, the thought and care you put into making the unpacking process an entire experience of its own, and simply the fact that you really want the receivers to *have* that experience is just all incredible and very well appreciated.

the amount of care you put into every single thing you make - even this packaging - and the amount of thought you put into how your customer can enjoy their item... it's astonishing, and touching as well. I am certain that every person fortunate enough to receive one of your books - whether they bought it for themselves or are being gifted it by another person - feels just a little bit more loved because of how much attention you've lavished on this. That energy carries along, invisible and weightless but definitely THERE, and that is such wonderful magic. You are most certainly talented but you're a little bit of a wizard too!!

but but but...while everything you did is lovely, the book itself does not seem to be protected. There is nothing to prevent flattening of the poor little book. And having the spine of it standing proud of the edge mystified me. I was very surprised by this! I would have used enough thicknesses of the corrugated cardboard--with a rectangular hole in the middle just the size of the book--to prevent crushing and one layer top and bottom to sandwich the whole thing. Yes to the locked letters please!
