I did three really important lung-related things for my disease prevention and overall wellness: - I stopped chronically breathing through my mouth...big no-no - I started using the BreatheEasy Lung Exerciser for inhalation and exhalation breathing therapy - and I sleep with a small piece of tape over my lips to keep my mouth closed during sleep...stops snoring, apnea, dry mouth and more My chronic fatigue and asthma both are gone now and my outlook on life is exceptional because I’m sleeping better and have more energy. I’m 54 and take no meds. Health is wealth!

2:19 isnt that visualisation kinda wrong? shouldnt both sides have equal amounts of o2 and co2 after the diffusion happened? its shown as if all the o2 goes into the blood and all the co2 goes to the lungs - but technically shouldnt it be so that in the end both sides have relatively equal amounts of both?
@Markus970510 жыл бұрын
You're correct. Moreover, diffusion is not the only process here. The process which transports the gases over the membrane is called *osmosis*.
@emeraldstars34510 жыл бұрын
TheLeftLibertarianAtheist I think that you may be mistaken. Osmosis specifically focuses on solvents moving through a semipermeable membrane, not gases. Though I do agree that the visual representation is wrong :)
@Markus970510 жыл бұрын
emeraldstars345 Osmosis works for gases too.
@VinSad10 жыл бұрын
TheLeftLibertarianAtheist Osmosis is only for water and other solvents. In this case, the solvents are the other gases in air.

Funny thing is the video didn't affect me, but the comments, like this one, did. Alas, it's easy to kick it back into automatic mode. Just try to forget it, try to relax the chest muscles; don't try to force them to stay put, try to not do anything, just let go. It still breathes.
