How do Monoclonal Antibodies Work?

Monoclonal antibodies, or mAbs, are an emerging therapeutic for a variety of different infectious diseases and chronic conditions. Here I give a brief overview of how mAbs can be used in the oncology field. First by directly targeting the cancer cells of interest, or second by helping the immune system overcome checkpoint inhibitors.
