I was a micro-influencer for a few years, and it was hard work! I made good money in the beginning, but I lost steam and quit when it started affecting my mental health. I still think about going back to it from time to time.

I despise it when influencers try to trigger their viewers to buy consumer goods using phrases like "Get it now before it sells out," "You need it," "I/You deserve it," or what I like to call hot/cold influencers where one day its forget Schutz boots, invest in Versace and the next day its you need these 40 wear and tear loungewear sets from Nasty Gal. Then you know its all about the money. Meanwhile, I'll be thinking, I work too hard for this ish. 😆 Its cool for influencers to make money if they offer valuable content, though.
