Great vid This might sound stupide but see if your fixit guy can make you a light weight 8 by 12 portable goat pen tractor using the front end of a bicycle for steering in the center of one end of the pen and two bicycle wheels on the back to corners and add a piece of plastic over the back end for shade. Move this around the weed patches cleaning up the weeds and having better free food for the goats. Have you ever thought about using some cheap reusable Hanging Stable Fly and Horse Fly Traps in the summer months

Can't you get some sort of applicator, or the firm that manufacture the cow brushes, so that when fly's are bad, it would apply fly repellent/killer when a cow uses a brush? I had some, only the very basic ones, a top and side bar, with calf teats in the bristles, that helped apply at least some to the cows- v basic then, it was about 1993??

Do you ever use fly predators or is it to cool in your area? I !I've in NW Wisconsin by lake superior. The species of flys the fly predators kill don't live here. To cold in the winter. Do you ever move the goats around the farm to eat back the weeds?

Lots of barns use Rescue fly traps. I have 2 in my yard and the attractant is so stinky but the black flys that’s are caught are worth it. Mine are hung high so I don’t encounter the attractant Peavy Mart/Canadian Tire etc.

Beautiful calves in the close up shots. Love Dreamer- pretty girl. Random question from watching milking- does teat size factor in your breed standards? I haven't been around dairy cows since my teens (and I'm old, lol), but I remember larger teats being favored although nearly everyone was already using milking machines.

2064 is a beautiful looking cow if its not a heifer and youd sell let me know ill bring him to Maine for a life long home as a pet. Cows amaze me as to how smart and awesome they are. I realize they are expensive and not easy totake care of like a cat hut that one just hits me diffre t than most.
