Very well articulated Salim - on a very prescient and timely conversation. Hopefully your talks will be heard at the top circles of governments worldwide - education is the only way out of this mess. Looks like you've reaffirmed your personal MTP!

The types and speed of Decisions are driving by data. Salim's insight as the data became automated the decision making process and ability to consume vast amounts of data to make a decision needs to change. The current methodologies are outdated and need to be redesigned. We should be teaching this at business schools and challenging outdated decision making processes.

Why this has only 34K views is beyond logic. This should be seen by 7 BI people!

Phenomenal, Salim! A big disconnect I see that continues to happen is at the HR/recruiter level who have yet to have been educated on the value of divergent skill sets. While this could be seen as a top down mandate from management, I believe the dialogue/pushback could and should come from the hiring team itself and creating a groundswell of ideas w/ in the organization. Similar to the tension between marketing & sales.

Step1: Fix the currency, it can be the same bills and coins that we use today. It just has to be backed by something physical (gold/silver mostly) with transparency measures in place. Step2: Fix our government via transparency and accountability. This is will be made far easier thanks to step1. Step3: Profit: everything else should fall into place thanks to step1, mostly due to the fact that we are currently being manipulated by our respective currencies. This would also upset the elites and have catastrophic effects but the control and manipulation is only getting worse so I feel we need to do these things. Okay, I'll watch the video now but 17 minutes seems pretty long.. it should be easy.

Life-Animals-Humans-Intelligent Life is a on going amazing journey, there can be many views of life one view has been presented and also has to be institutionalized in which it is proposed Intelligent Life adopts a symbol which has been plucked out from the t/l corner of the Pioneer 10 plaque,it is the schematic representation of the transition of hydrogen along with the binary 1 as depicted on the Pioneer 10 plaque, the symbol is valid anywhere in the cosmos as we now know it,and presumably will be deciphered by Intelligent Life elsewhere in the universe.Contradiction is the vehicle to pose this view of life

Innovation, technology and new ideas have to be welcomed, sure. However, I disagree with Salim on the basis of the obsession we have for speed. The "immune system", as he called it, has an important function on preventing bad things from happening. If there is social resistance to fast novelties it is not necessarilly bad. Good things need to convince that they are actually good things. We shouldn´t take all the innovation as good for society without questioning and dialoguing. It´s healthy for a democracy to question and take the time to appreciate the benefitis and implications of new ideas and technologies. Being too slow nowadays is bad, but so can being to fast also be.

What happens when you replace people with machines from a tax paying point of view.....will the machines pay IR?

In theory, you would tax the capital that owns the machines. Though there are likely many other ways it could be done.
