The changes that will happen to this country will be based more on age than on geography. Young people, even in many currently red states like Texas and Florida, are not socially conservative for the most part. They don't need their politicians to take away gay marriage or reverse Roe v Wade. They are scared about climate change and unchecked gun violence. They will not be as prone to lockstep support of any one party and they will make this country a lot more purple in a lot more places, not just on the coasts. It is a change that will happen over time, but it will happen.

@Stephanie Logan I totally agree. The problem isn't always with the candidates, but mostly with citizens that vote along their party lines no matter who the candidate is. (Of maybe there are a lot of ignorant citizens in this country.) Has a democrat actually listened to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? She thinks/talks/acts like a High School student. (and not one of the bright ones.) We democrats need to stop letting these millennial liberals destroy our party.
