It is neat, but i really miss the simplicity of old Sony Vegas and the way you could just adjust the playback speed on the side and edit your footage that way.

Maybe they'll add a playback speed slider - you can go to Project Settings -> Master -> Timeline Format and change Playback Frame rate to be something faster - it's not as convenient as a slider in the UI but it may be of use to you :)

Somehow I had a 30fps video file and davinci resolve didn't get it, it played back super fast by default, had to manually change the project settings from 60 to 30 fps. Still learned something. Thanks!

I'm in the process of switching to Davinci from Premiere. Premiere had similar functionality, but when I sped it up I could hear everything pretty clearly, even if it was a little too fast to fully comprehend. My issue is that if you speed up Davinci, the audio comes out all garbled and difficult to understand. Is there a way to... I don't know, change how Davinci processes audio or something so that it's clearer? I ask like that because it sounds terrible in the same way when moving through the video frame by frame, or slowly dragging the playhead through the video. Regardless, great tutorial, and thanks for any help! :)

hi i have a small doubt i recently shifted from fcp to davinci..and my work flow is watching all the raw files first fully..and im just wondering if i can enable continuos playback of videos in media library...like in fcp the next clip starts automatically after one ends...but here in davinci i cant even use arrow to move to next clip in edit page its ony available in media pool page and also media pool page doesnt have the option of continuos playback ..can you please help me with it...and also is there any option to favourite a specific part of clip (NOT FLAG)

Hi, try using the source-tape view in the Cut page if you want to see all clips together. Not sure about favorite but you can set an in and out point on a clip to "mark" a section or use a marker with a duration of a few seconds/mins to mark a section.

It sounds much awful than any of the software I have ever used (e.g. chrome, firefox, edge, vlc, foobar, potplayer, even mx player, youtube, twitch, bilibili on android...) and 2. it can't be adjusted to 1.5x or any value between 1x and 2x, which made it almost impossible to efficiently edit lengthy footage where multiple speakers are involved. (e.g. live shows on a game streamer server)
