I would really like to put this into perspective. She has been called ugly and asked to kill herself; for no reason other than her physical appearance. And yet she is so warm-hearted, kind and loving towards others and herself. I would say that in a world where there is war, famine, genocide, poverty, global warming, greed, animal abuse, bullying, cancer, rape, murder, torture, cyber-bullying, ISIS, racism, sexism, antisemitism, speciesism, homophobia; in a world with so many problems I would really call her beautiful. Almost too beautiful for this world! Much love Lizzie! Never stop being awesome!

I believe that everybody in this world is different for a reason. And everybody in this world looks different for a reason. You will see some people in this world that has big lips, big nose, big ears, really big head, some people have speech problems, really bad stuttering problems. there are some people in this world that are called beautiful, and there are some people in this world that are called ugly. Everybody in this world doesnt look the same, and everybody in this world doesnt act the same. and that's why some people get laughed at and picked on because they are different, or they look different. But to me being laughed at, picked on, and made fun of by other people just makes them different, and the things that people laugh at, and make fun of you about id the things that make you different. I know that being picked on, and laughed at, and made fun of by other people because you look different than them is bad but I would say that you need people picking on you, making fun of you and laughing at you because that is what makes you different. But I think what makes you unique, and special is your character traitd and personality, and the things that you are really good at, the things that you excel at. Everybody in this world has different things about them that makes them unique and special. For me I just couldnt imagine being in this world where nobody have never being picked on, laughed at, and made fun of because this worldnt feel the same to me. Because we need that in the world. Of course theres the good and bad that comes with being picked on, made fun of, and laughed at. And I will explain it. The bad part about it is that when you get picked on you get your feelings hurt and you become mad because you dont like that they are picking on you and making fun of you. And the good part about it is that being picked on, laughed at, and made fun of can make you and turn you into a stronger and better person. and you can also use the negative things that people say about you and let it turn you into a stronger and better person. Because you know like the saying go what dont kill you can only make you stronger. Being picked on, made fun of, and laughed at will just help you to realize and understand that you are different, and thats what makes you different from other people. And no I dont think anybody in this world looks horrible, and I wouldnt call anybody ugly because that is mean and hurtful to say to somebody. And I want to say this when you are young and you get picked on and made fun of by people because yoy look different, you deal with that but when you get older you remember that and then you realize that you were dealing with that, and it just turned into a better person. And also I look at it like this being picked on, and made fun of by people will only last for a little while and then it will stop. And oh, and I wanted to say that I love you lizzie velasquez, because you are a very strong and beautiful person, and also you are an inspiration to me in a lot of other people. And I really enjoyed watching this video.

I'm 37. I've always considered myself cynical and cold-hearted. I laughed when I watched Titanic. I think animals are generally better then humans. Well, I cried when I watched this video. I imagined how hard it was for you, and I can't even begin to imagine how much inner strength it takes to do what you do. Lizzie, you are the strongest and the most beautiful person I've ever seen. how can you say she's one of the most beautiful people alive? Even if we are saying inner beauty, have you met everyone in the world? I don't think you have. And off the top of my head I could name a dozen people who've contributed more to humanity. She may be nice, but its YOU lot that need to keep your shit to yourself if you can't say anything meaningful.

I do get what you're saying, and unlike a lot of the trolls on here I'm not calling her ugly I just think that saying about someone you've never met that they're beautiful is kind of poor judgement. After all, we paint ideal images of people in our minds that aren't the same when we get to know them. Hell, most days she probably isn't this happy person who gets on with life, she might hate herself and be an absolute bitch in private.

+Ellie Frost Beauty is not a social construct. For example, If we were to try and condition someone to think that animals are beautiful and humans aren't, they wouldn't think that humans are ugly. Our preferences, our opinions may differ, but some basic core principles of what we find appealing are rooted in biology. For example, when people see a baby, they think it's cute because certain features evoke certain responses from people. Beauty is relative, but not a social construct.

Lizzie Velasquez you are an amazing person. Your positive attitude is intoxicating and something I needed to see and hear today. I deal with trolling, death threats & suicide threats pretty regularly with my KZbin career. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum where I get ridiculed for being overweight. It's very easy for people to be complete monsters when they are hiding behind a keyboard and don't actually have to face the person they are attacking or see first hand the damage they cause. I've been feeling very depressed lately and watching your video has seriously kicked my butt into gear. I think you are an amazing motivational speaker and I will share this video with my audience. And for the record I would like to say you are an amazingly beautiful person inside and out. Anyone that would think you are ugly have been brainwashed by society and don't judge beauty for themselves but rather from what they think others will think. I personally judge beauty based on what I see in front of me, hear in front of me and feel in front of me and you hit me in the feels with this video so to me you are a gorgeous person. But you already know that! Keep doing what you do Lizzie and thank you for uplifting so many peoples spirits with this amazing talk. I've subscribed to your channel and will watch your future videos. You have a lot that you can teach people and I know that you have already changed the world for the better. Special thanks to my subscribers Fluctibus Fludd for tweeting me a link to this video, it's subscribers like him that really make being a public speaker and KZbin content creator worth while. Have a great day/evening Lizzie and know you just picked up another fan for life.

I hate how everyone thinks beauty is about how good you look. If people knew what true beauty is, everyone would be saying that Lizzie is the most beautiful woman in the world. She can't see perfectly, and yet, she can see what many others don't. Most people have 20/20 vision, but they can't see anything through the lies in front of them-the lies that keep them from understanding the truth about beauty.

xiao jie Chen "Common sense consists of those layers of prejudice laid down in the mind before the age of eighteen." --*Albert Einstein* Yes; the media has brainwashed people ever since their childhood. The media, which believes in physical attractiveness as the true form beauty, injects their beliefs into others, hoping that their own sexist and worldly portrayals of people become "common sense." But, as Albert Einstein here says, it is not "common sense" they have been injecting into us since childhood, but rather prejudice.

Wow... that speech was so perfectly put together and brought me to tears. It's horrible that anyone could be cold hearted enough to do or say those things to this amazing girl. She's just as human as any one of us. Just imagine if you had to go through the agonizing anticipation that she had to every day before she walked out the door, solely because of the fear of how other people would treat her. And despite everything, she still has enough courage and love left for those people, that she can stand up in front of an audience and give a speech about her deepest insecurities. And not even for her own benefit, but to help other people and change their lives. She is so incredibly strong and brave, more so than most of us would be in her shoes. Her personality shocked me and blew me away, and because of her soul and who she is, to me she is the most beautiful woman in the world.

Lizzie! 💕 Finally found this KZbin video! You know what, fuck the haters who think they don't need to know about this disease. It's rare, VERY rare, and she's taken it and kept herself alive. It doesn't matter if she's "ugly" or if "they should sell Halloween masks of her face", she's an AMAZING person! She doesn't need outer beauty when she has inner beauty (unlike some idiots on here).

Our body is just a jar. Is not what defines our existence, nor our true being. This woman has been treated horribly during her whole life, and this talk is a proof on how reality is mostly perceived by what we can see, "blinding us" from the true self of incredible people like Lizzie.

Internet is something beautiful but it can also be the worst place on earth. Anonymity on the internet makes people say the worst things, without consequences. I saw that video she was talking about a few years back and the comments were horrible and I can't believe people can live with themselves saying such awful things to another human being. But what I think is absolutely amazing is how she turned everything bad into something good, how she did everything she wanted to do with her life. The speech made me think real hard about my own life and how I should live it.

Its just a mirror of your own fears and ignorance. Have some human decency. I have a feeling though she would just ignore you, and all the other misinformed jerks that judge her without thinking.
