I watched your video of the bike with the auto clutch and thought great she can still ride her bike but Rekluse don't list her bike Would it be possible that you would have clutches you could match up with the yamaha so I can get one for the wife There's no one here in the UK that stocks the clutches thanks big Mike

@@highlandcycles sweet. this has me thinking maybe on my recluse bike i should be running less FPG? Do you recomend i try and run less? what would the advantage be? more time between adjustments? but more risk of using up the friction plates decreasing longevity? this clutch confuses me im entirely too dumb for the recluse, all i know is i like riding it :)
@highlandcycles
@highlandcycles 3 жыл бұрын
@@thepatternforms859 less FPG will give you a little more slip which will equal a little better “traction control” and smoother delivery of the power. It will end up being a little harder on plates but In our opinion the wear difference is negligible

He didn't toque any bolts. Also, brake fuel will eat the paint off so better not to drip it over the bike.
@highlandcycles
@highlandcycles 4 жыл бұрын
I didn’t torque any bolts because I’ve installed a ton of these and I know how tight to make them. As far as the brake fluid, yes it will eat paint which is why it’s a good thing the bike is all plastic and the frame is tougher than normal paint. All gets washed off long before it could ever do any damage.
@goodboyringo9716
@goodboyringo9716 4 жыл бұрын
@@highlandcycles ... As a Auto Mechanic myself , I know that you can't guess torque settings so that is nuts. As for washing off brake fluid and that plastic is tougher than paint ... That is dumb ! Rode a buddy's bike with a rekluse the other day, gotta say if you have any intention of improving your skills throw that thing in the trash. I've seen him eat shit multiple times in tough technical stuff cause he has gotten lazy with the rekluse and never learned or forgot the skills of how to actually use the clutch in way's most can't think of. Are there any top riders that run an auto clutch?? Can't think of any. Torque drive or core is a great product but beyond that, it's only for guy's too lazy to learn how to finger there bikes clutch. Feel sorry for there poor neglected girls! lol

There are numerous pros running them in Eberg and SDIE. Most riders would never know its in there. With the new versions, you get torque drive discs so you have better grab, more engagement and smoother slip than a factory clutch. Even a DDS, but more profound with cable and spring clutches. Stalling your bike and a steep cliff switchback might change your mind.@@chrisgall4664

There are soooo many errors in this video I don't know where to start! Don't you own a torque wrench? Rekluse is a great Company and you probably cost your customer 40-50% of the life span of the friction plates. As far as bleeding the slave cylinder, you fill it before you bolt it to the bike! If I was you boss, I would never have let you post this video. If you are the boss, you won't ever work on my bikes!
@highlandcycles
@highlandcycles 3 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. I have installed tons and tons of Rekluse clutches from the Z start pro to now and have never had one be bad. And friction plates always last as long if not longer than stock clutches. Yes I own a torque wrench and I don’t think you need one on a clutch install. I have watched countless factory mechanics not use a torque wrench on any part of a clutch on bikes that are actually making money. Have a great day, I hope you get out and ride.

@@highlandcycles I didn't say that I had a bad Rekluse clutch. I said you were costing your customers. I help develop these over the years with Rekluse. You need to use a torque wrench and thread locking compound.
