Thanks for being honest because now I will pay more attention to the ingredients. That is so wrong for a company to label a product that way.

Yes, that’s basically my motto lol I’m simple with my hair care. I don’t want to be bothered. If I like something Ima stick beside it 😂

I LOLed at the end. Too funny. But yes, reading ingredient list is important. Grape seed oil will usually be refined (or combined) because unrefined, raw grape seed oil has a very short shelf life and hard to find clean grapeseed oil anywhere. Light nut oils are better like Argan . I LOVE steaming my locs it’s the best moisturizing method for me. Love your videos.
@nattyann Жыл бұрын
🤣🤣🤣 Yes you’re right! I love the way Argan oil smells. I used to steam my hair as a loose natural, but never tried steaming my locs. Won’t hurt to try it again. Thank you for watching love 🤎
@mabeaute8963 Жыл бұрын
Correct on the refined oil thing! Argan has done me right. My locs are 4 inches past shoulders. I still like the hair food recipes though, but with locs like hers it would be too much work.

LOL to you saying you did not do better🤣🤣🤣! Those oils, and foods like you said, can definitely be tricky. It’s a shame they intentionally try to fool people like this. I use a 50/50 mix of olive oil and avocado oil to seal my locs and I LOVE it! It’s not too heavy and not too light like you mentioned. Thanks so much for sharing girlfriend 🌹❤️🙏🏿!

🤣🤣🤣 Ima keep it real with ya’ll, always! So do you buy an oil blended or you buy it separately and mix yourself?

I'm a new subscriber!❤️❤️ I NEVER comment but wanted to say that seed oils are so bad for human beings. Unfortunately, they are in everything!! Example: canola oil, soybean oil, grape seed oil, vegetable oil you name it. All garbage. I personally make my own hydrosols and herbal teas for my locs and scalp. I don't use any oils. If I feel like I need a fat for my scalp, then I'll use pure lanolin or beef tallow. Only a little and that's rare that I even use that.
@nattyann Жыл бұрын
Wow! Thank you for commenting! I’m interested in learning more about you making your own hydrosols and teas. What are the benefits?
@myheadofhair Жыл бұрын
@@nattyann you are welcome ❤️💕🙏🏽. A hydrosol is for example rose water or any plant matter that you would take into the distillation process. It's highly concentrated. For times when I don't need something extremely concentrated, I will make a tea. For example rose rosemary leaves add water and steep into a tea. Let it sit for hours and add that to a spray bottle. Voila! So cheap, and it's amazing for your scalp and locs. I have probably over 20 different herbs and plants depending on what I feel that my hair needs. I also do rinses with teas as well. For daily hydration, I will use my hydrosols. It's mostly ayurvedic herbs

@nattyann2 жыл бұрын
Years ago my husband and I were using avocado oil and his scalp hated it so I was on the hunt for something else. Grapeseed oil was good to cook with and I ended up putting it in our hair and fell in love. It wasn’t too thick. Still using it now. I think you should try different oils and see which one you like the best.
@juicyfruit58922 жыл бұрын
Just watched your vid now & even though you ended up not using 100% grapeseed oil (only 10%) would I be so wrong to say that canola oil actually agrees with your hair👍🏿😊

Soooo mad about the oil too! I do use 100% grapeseed oil in my hair as well, and its jacked up that they are passing off what you were using as grapeseed. However, your hair is still gorgeous and thriving! So use up whatcha got (no need to waste it), and just do better next time 😅
@nattyann2 жыл бұрын
Thank you boo! My mom said “that canola oil working for you girl” lol 😂 So I had a smaller bottle (same brand) and it was 100% grapeseed oil. So guess manufacturers were being cheap with the bigger bottle trying to stretch it and sell it. smh I’ll do better next time for sure! 💕
