If you are trying to conceive, how do you if you are ovulating with PCOS? It’s a really important question and thankfully there is some way of not only confirming ovulation with PCOS but even being able to predict ovulation.

Hi there! Looking into the mira and wondering how many wands I should buy? Especially with pcos as I don't have a regular period and so I don't have an approximate date or day of cycle to start testing on and it's too expensive to buy for every day

I'm guessing that the costs you had listed were US$ as I've been looking into the ovusense (in Australia) and it's $350 for the device and $500 for the 12 month subscription. I desperately want to get it but its SO expensive.

I know right, it’s a bit disheartening that I have to spend a lot of money as it is to see a Natropath/gyno/ specialist just to get my body to do what its meant to. Then to have these kits to help this expensive. Makes me feel like I will never get pregnant.

In the US, we have often HSA accounts that can help us pay for these expenses. That's what I did. Do you have HSA, or something similar?

My daughter uses Fertility Friend. OPK Advanced. She got a peak on CD 16, the app confirmed. Then she didnt get AF, then the app said she didnt OV on CD 16, it changed to CD 32! Then it said she didnt OV at all. Her cycle was 43 days. This is so frustrating. She is on Metformin and Clomid has only worked once out of the 4 cycles she has used it. She has only OV 3 times total in 12 months. Her doc wont even do a progesterone test for her. Which is a bunch of crap. When Clomid didnt work at 50mg, she refused to up it.

Hi I have not had my period for a few months. My cycle is currently on 135 days (6 Jan 2021). I was diagnosed with PCOS in March 2020. I am 21 years old, turning 22. I am very stressed, it is the longest I've been without my period. Someone also recommended a saliva ovulation tracker? How accurate is it? Cause i am interested in using it to see whether i still ovulate. Alao should i be worries with my cycle being this long?

Hello, I don’t usually comment but I wish someone had told me before they did. You need to have a period or a bleed at least every 3 months so 90day cycle. If this does not occur naturally you need to obtain medication from your GP to create a bleed. There are concerns that the cells that are no shed at least every 3 months can mutate and can become cancerous. Emphasis on the can, not absolute. I would highly recommend speaking with your GP as PCOS is ongoing :)

Hey. I hope you finally went to see a gynaecologist. I’m 24 now but I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 20. In 2020, I had only one period throughout the entire year. Not good at all. Seeing a gynaecologist is very helpful. Especially for me because I also developed endometriosis and was able to get a laparoscopy and treatment in a timely fashion.

It really depends on you and what you want or feel comfortable with. The Ovusense it a vaginal thermometer. It is not uncomfortable but you will probably be aware of it. Mira you use a couple of times a month but buying the strips can be expensive... Both will tell you when you are ovulating which is really important to know!

I have OvuSense and if I’m honest I find it difficult keeping it inside me as it makes me feel uncomfortable and for days I want to have fun with my husband I have to remind myself it’s inside me lol so it can get awkward well for me anyways. I just ordered mira moments before I searched for this video and I feel more for me will be easier hopefully. Been trying for 5 years now so I’m really excited to see how this helps me xx

Also with OvuSense you would need to subscribe for their support and I found that very difficult as I couldn’t understan how to use it properly either and the subscriptions were getting expensive.

When I ovulate, my basal body temperature is never higher than usual. Its always constant, so I dont think too relevant for ovulation or at least not for everyone.
