How do you know you’re ready for a relationship?

1. You desire one 2. You desire one but you are SATISFIED WITHOUT ONE. You're complete and satisfied in Christ 3. You have standards but you are also growing and rising to meet those standards (you're the kind of person the person you want to date wants to date). Improve, change, grow, be teachable...become the best version of yourself. 4. You're doing something substantial with your life. You know what God would have you do and you're doing it. You know where your life is going and where God is leading you to. I.e. you have an idea of where you're going to and you're headed there, and you need a travel partner (just an analogy) 5. If marriage comes calling, it doesn't take you by surprise. 6. You've learnt to SELFLESSLY BUILD non-marriage relationships e.g. parents, siblings, church, friends... learn to be kind, keep secrets, manage money, etc 7. You've healed from your past hurts. Deal with your hurts to a reasonable extent 8. You're emotionally mature. Work on putting your mind and thoughts and feelings under control. Learn to take no for an answer E.g. you don't crush on every single person you meet. You know you're not the be all and end all 9. You understand what love truly is. Movies were meant to entertain not to teach/educate. Real love's standard is that on the cross. Plus learn to differentiate love in dating and love in marriage Romantic love: the DECISION to mirror the love of Christ for the church and EXCLUSIVELY DEVOTE special ATTENTION to a member of the opposite sex who understands the love of Christ and is willing to do the same 10. Age 11. Choice 12. You have a vision for your life and also recognise a vision you can contribute to
