In this tutorial, we will be discussing the scenery project directory layout for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

⚠Although this video is still very relevant, I have made a slight change which is done differently in the video. I have decided to change my output path structure, as I believe the world/global path structure used in the video could potentially (Not yet proven) lead to some conflicts down the road. Although these would likely be very rare cases, if I'm right. Mind you, this is all based off of assumption at the moment, but let's call it an educated assumption as the new structure is the same that Asobo/Microsoft use for their airports/scenery. Hey! great video and I followed all your steps to "redo" the current scenery that i was working on due to issues. I still have the same issues after following your tutorial. I added the aerial imagery pictures into the "sat" folder for CGL and I still cant get this to work in the sim... Nothing shows up and before I saw a text stating "no CGL builder descriptor XML found in D" even though I had it there and set it up right. But even now with everything pre-setup and technically failproof I still dont get the aerial imagery. Would you have any input on this? Thank you

Thanks , i was using the wizard and my file structure was a hf. I will try your method.

I haven't used the Wizard since the last update, but last time I checked it, it wrote completely confusing and wrong input/output paths that not even Asobo uses in their own documentation or addons.

Hello I have a problem with model converter x where I find the texture fine in Mcx but when I see the textures in msfs2020 it’s looks cracked so I think it’s trying to triangulate faces how to fix that

Define "cracked". The faces of the model should be triangulated, normally. It could be caused by a number of reasons. Low poly mesh + shading / Ambient Occlusion, or normals to name two. However without seeing a photo or sample file, it's hard to be sure, and I can only make assumptions. This may be a good question to post over in the MCX sub forum at fsdeveloper.com, then you can share photos and files, if need be.
