I have not done this in almost 50 years But you can solve this by graphing substitution and Determinants Solving systems of equations Algebra 1 Stuff here

X is 7/5 Y is -16/5 Took me about 30 seconds to solve Solve for Y which is 1-3X And substitute for Y in the first equation

The 'preamble' for these videos is waaaaayyyyy too long. Too much verbosity, too little math, imho.

I did this in under 30 seconds. Another example of making things unnecessarily complicated. A 20 minute video? No wonder people are terrified of math.

Not everyone is a genius like you. Some of us need step by step explanations. In this case, lucky me, I didn't. But my 12 year old self would have benefited immensely.
