Very impressed with your clear and excellent explanation. I suggest that you should also have really emphasized the other dangers when not used correctly. Patient reaches forward and uses it for support whilst getting themselves up; frame tips- possible fall or injury to patient. I have been a support worker in the community for over 4 years now and am constantly amazed at some of the risky practices being performed out there (by clients and SWs). I really love helping people to achieve and improve, safely. I am currently studying Cet IV Allied Health Assist (OT) and look forward to viewing other videos by you.😊

Thats all well and good but my brother has problems getting up off the chair due to a bad back and hands trembling, its allright in a perfect world, what about people that dont get or dont have a carer, get into the real world.

'Get into the real world'? In the real world, things go wrong too. Read my comment above (to the organization). Your brother’s situation sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. I would suggest a physiotherapist or OT attend your brother and work out suitable training/ equipment for his needs. Don’t leave him at risk of being found after hours or days on the floor!

If your brother has a bad back and trembling hands that prevent him from standing he should be using a stand aid or other motorised hoist.
