My Mom always stocked up, I do the same...I replace what I use as I go. If things go according to plan, and I trust God that they will...Our house will be paid off in 3 1/2 years...will be debt free. I enjoy life, but do not waste money, and have been going to thrift stores for over 40 years. I Tithe first, don't waste, and Trust God...it works. Stopped watching the news about a month ago.

I just Love you guys! My husband and I have always lived frugally, but you have brought to light even more areas where we could tighten up and still live well. There's also something comforting about your common sense approach to everything from cooking to finances. Can't begin to tell you how much of a blessing you have been to me& so much of it is just common sense.

I work for a police department. Certain crimes were up like domestic violence but certain crimes like disorderly conduct were down in our area. I think the bars being closed had a lot to do with it. Car accidents and pollution were also down.

Can you freeze lactose free milk? I paid off $70,000 debt. I told my extended family and they looked at me like I was dumb for paying it off. Instead of being proud or happy for me they acted like they felt sorry for me! I stay away from them now, I’m sticking to like minded folks now and I feel so much happier. But when I said I support police,I am called racist! I 100 percent Support police!!!! My cousins are cops, friends husband's ect... I am teaching my children to respect and support the police! What happened to respect, bipartisanship. This is not even a are you a Christian or not issue. How about let's just be nice, respectful, kind, decent. In WA state it is turned into a mess. Other parts of the Country, the same. It hurts my heart to see all the hatred, anger, screaming.

Masks, social distancing, etc. I am 59 and very high risk but otherwise healthy with a wonderful strong husband. Thank you for the marching orders. Yes, it’s easier to fight oppression than living with it. You and your Mom are spiritual warriors. Thank you for reminding us what to do. You are all a blessing to the world. 🌹

We had a windfall of money at the beginning of the virus: tax return, our inlaws gave us some money unexpectedly and the stimulus. We have some debt, $8k odds and ends and then our mortgage. But we sat on all that money kinda waiting for things to settle down in case we needed to live off that windfall money. Well now that we're kinda seeing things level out I paid off my student loan and threw $2k at our car loan. Down to the last $3400 to pay off!!! Fingers crossed we're out of debt and working on the mortgage by the end of the year! BTW I LOVED your retirement video from a few days ago. That's our plan, pay off EVERYTHING before even thinking about investing!

Hi I live in the UK on govt benefits. It’s hard at times but I have extras by buying items on clearance, reduced and second hand. My trainers the last 2 pairs I brought on eBay and they are both under £10 each and cheaper than other cheaper brands. I stock piled chocolate at Christmas which is still in the fridge and also using up Easter chocolate too.

One thing I did to prepare for the thing going around was to saute chunks of chicken and onion, carrots and celery, put them in a freezer bag and put it in the freezer. I canned some homemade chicken broth and kept a couple jars of that in the kitchen. I kept a bag of egg noodles in the kitchen. I figured that if I didn't have the strength to cook, hopefully I'd still be able to dump all these into a pot along with some flavoring, Made enough for a big pot of it so we would have food for a few days all prepared.

I had been buying stuff off of clearance at the drug store the biggest haul was cold/allergy stuff almost $200 for less than $20. We use big cat/dog food bags for garbage bags and dug grocery bags from recycle bin at store.

I just wanted to share our family recipe that we've always used for cough syrup and congestion. It is from my great grandfather who was a baptist preacher and we dont drink either. Put a peppermint in the bottom of a jar or glass, add about a tablespoon of honey, squeeze some fresh lemon in the jar and add a liitle bit of whiskey to it and let the peppermint desolve some. Take about a tablespoon or so every four hours. They even give this to us when we were children and it always helped clear us up faster. I think it works better store bought medicine.

Not the typically crisis..but your "team" has so much knowledge. Any suggestions how to deal with bed bugs...without spending a fortune? You have so many obvious answers for dealing with household "disruptions" without breaking the bank. Researching BB treatments sounds like toss out everything you own, pay an exterminator a fortune and start again with new furniture. Thanks in advance.

In Australia, we have been very lucky. Yes people have died, although that is on such a small scale compared to our American, UK and European counterparts. I'm an RN in a busy surgical ward. I am blessed to have a job as is my husband. If you wear gloves and a mask remember that you still need to practice hand hygiene - gloves don't protect you. Just love the doggy that is in the background. I've loved self isolation. I get enough people contact at work. I am happy to stay at home and garden, cook from my garden and lock myself in my craftroom and make cards. Cards are great to send in these times. I can't store stuff. Stuff bothers me. I have hoarders in reverse. I'm resourceful and can utilise other things. I have a stocking with a cake of soap in it, tied around the outside tap. More than cost is comfort. I am on my feet all day, I can buy a pair of $150 shoes for work and they last me 18-24 months. It is worth it for me.
