You should NEVER say or imply that if a person has cancer,that person is dying.Many people are watching around the world, they may be struggling with it themselves and I don't think they'd like to be told there's no hope for them. Despite that comment, I loved the video.Very useful and informative, as usual.

@@papateachme In Italian, w're not so used to acronyms, as in English or american English. But in Medicine things are chainging now, and you begin to find some italian acronyms. Bur not yet during the physical examination. So, in this case, we italian doctors don't you use similar acronyms. Best compliments to your blog. Well.. As a Real GP that stationed at ER, please teach me how to explain to my patients about "how to take your drugs or medications". I once had a patient from India, and I told him "please take this thrice a day" and he didn't understand (no offense), so I changed to "take this three times a day", is that correct?. And any other term like "once every 2 days", or how to apply cream or ointment and etc ... I mean how to make it simple so my patients could understand. Terima kasih, Thank you💕

I would have needed this doctor 8 years ago when I went from a simple gastroenteritis to a peritonitis (in 24h hours) due to a bad diagnosis.... And after surgery I developed a nocosomial pneumonia (Hospital Acquired Pneumonia) with a pleural efussion. So there you go, more vocabulary. I had to learn it when I moved to England whenever I went to the hospital, when they asked me about surgeries and major injuries: 1. Peritonitis: it is a massive infection. It can be caused for example when the apendicitis bursts (explodes, breaks). It's very dangerous and if not taken it on time it can end up in a massive septicemia (a massive failure affecting tissues and organs). It can kill you and it's very very painful (I will never forget that pain). 2. Gastroenteritis: it's the inflammation of the gastro intestinal tract. Can cause diarrhoea and vomiting. Usually you just need to have a plain dietary plan and it should be back to normal within a few days. It causes dehydration. 3. Pneumonia: infection in the lungs. It usually has pus, and there's a need of antibiotics to kill the infection, however it can take longer if it's viral, as antibiotics can't fight them. 4. Pleural efussion: when your lung/s fills up with pleural liquid (this liquid is normally and safely stored around the chest area, and they keep the lungs lubricated). Sometimes they need drainage (I needed this), sometimes it's very little and the body gets rid of it by itself.

Can you please explain to me what «dull pain» means. Thanks in advance.
@mirandabee23234 жыл бұрын
A "dull pain" is not as strong or as intense as a "sharp pain." I think dull pains sometimes last a long time. Example: When I accidentally hit my knee very hard, it was a sharp pain. A minute or two later, the sharp pain became a dull pain: my knee was sore and it hurt to touch, but I was able to move without the pain getting worse. The dull pain lasted for the rest of the evening. I hope this makes sense. I am not a teacher, I just happen to speak English (American English, by the way, so I might use or spell words differently than Papa or Dr. Hope).

I been to a Dr because I have problems with breathing. Everyday at work a few times I just had to stop and manually force my self to take a deep breath because I felt like IAM going to collapse. Now when I went in they did the routine and ask me a few questions. They made me buy this item to check my lung capacity at home and they said they will call me to give back the results. They never called. In the meantime I changed working place and the problem I was having went away. Now they did mention it that I might have a slight asthma. But they said they won't send me to a firm check up because it would take ages anyway. So many times I promised my self that I will never go to a Dr again because they don't give a f anyway they just need to be there and listen to people's bullshit to get paid.
