This was really helpful Rachel. What pranayama would you suggest for an early morning yoga practice?

Hi Anne! Good question - depends if you're doing it before meditation or as a way to prep for activity? Generally speaking, box breath is good anytime. Longer exhales will be more pacifying as will chandra bhedana, and surya bhedana will wake you up a bit (or a kriya practice like kapalabhati will be invigorating!). Generally it depends what you need and the intention.

Hi Anna! Glad this is helpful :) For the cool down, it really depends upon what the peak was...I generally seek out poses that help to engage muscles that have been lengthened and stretch muscles that have been engaged ~ but usually they'd all be seated/ reclined and more relaxing :)
