This 30 Minute Yoga Nidra is like a little reset for your mind. This guided yoga Nidra includes gentle ocean waves to further soothe the nervous system with a natural soundscape. This type of meditation aids deep relaxation, non-sleep deep rest, and for those who need it, sleep.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that uses a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. This yogic sleep technique calms the nervous system and activates the parasympathetic (relaxation, rest & digest) response which is so needed in these current times.

Male Firefighter with PTSD, going through a heartbreaking divorce. I forgot about your words and just flowed away on the breath of your speach. The waves in the background helped me find a warm beautiful spring day in my memories. 98% of my mind was in a trance. I had to use the other 2% to remember what a phone was find it and replay before the video was over. Laying on carpet with calves and feet resting above my heart in a soft chair. Entered a complete dream state of total bliss for a much needed moment in life. Thank you

I taught it to my Rebirthing clients in the late 1970s after learning the practice from a lady who only wore orange visiting the Vidya Bavhan where I practised yoga. I still have an original cassette but nothing to play it on!

Had three rough nights of low quality sleep. I followed this on lunch break. The sleepy, tired feeling was replaced with relaxation and the brain fog was replaced with light hearted focus. Thanks!

I was introduced to NSDR by Huberman and Is tumbled across your page. It is now my go-to for NSDR sessions whether 10 minutes or 30 minutes! I get my days started very early. I workout around 5:30am for about an hour and after my breakfast and shower I just feel whooped! So i’ve been making it a daily ritual to do this after I get ready to leave the house and I just feel so dang good afterwards. so happy to have been introduced to the beauty of NSDR. Thank you Ally!

Your help during this very difficult time for me is immense, I have severe restless leg syndrome and terrible insomnia which has made me depressed and caused anxiety but going through your lovely video talks the yoga nidra in your softly spoken calm way is helping me deal with things so much better than I was before. Hey Dave I have restless arm most nights. I second the magnesium tables but they didn’t work as well for me as magnesium spray. I get it in my arms so I spray the area before I go to bed and if it wakes me up I use the spray again. Has worked miracles for me. Sending you sleepy vibes 😊

I friend of mine is So much better of restless legs and insomnia since his neurologist gave him some patches with one of the drugs used for Parkinsons desease, I’m not so sure if is Dopamine …….así KZbin doctor, he is using the in his back…

I had trouble sleeping and staying asleep. But since I’ve started listening to your videos, I think I’m cured of insomnia. What’s crazy is that my doctor told me from my monthly blood test that my parasympathetic nerves have become more dominant than before. I suffer from chronic pain. I have been listening to your yoga nidra recordings to help calm my nervous system. Your voice is so calming and relaxing. I feel completely restored after listening to these recordings. They give me hope that one day, my brain will not send faulty signals to my nervous system any longer, and I will be pain free. Just want to thank you for all you do. I am practicing nidra 1-2 times everyday. When I get up... in my car on my lunch break... after work... and it's helping enormously. Former athlete (29) who's fallen ill with long covid and consequently developed PTSD 18 months ago. Slowly recovering and able to do more and more every month. It's a battle but your voice has been my guidance for many moons. Just hearing your voice puts me in a state of rest. I would love to do your training once I am able to financially. You have a gift and I won't stop raving about the impact this has made. I am a researcher so have been following a lot of the studies, just fantastic.

What can I say, Ally, you've officially become my go to for yoga nidra. I practice twice daily and at least one of those is yours. Funny thing is, to look at me you would never even guess I knew what this stuff was. I am convinced this technique has saved my life. There is definitely a sweetness in the still silence that keeps me going.

Hi Ally. I just wanted to let you know that you are my lifesaver. I suffer from chronic pain and often wake up in the morning feeling broken and like I haven't slept for even a minute. I have made it part of my daily practice to listen to one of your nidra meditations and most days it is what gets me through. I particularly love this 30 minute one for deep rest. I'm feeling centered and present and very relaxed. One of my favorite parts is always to bring attention to one side of the body and the opposite side of the brain - I can't even tell you how it makes me feel, I just really like it! : )

I had a teacher who taught us this. I bought his tape and used it to good effect. I lost the tape (cassette that's how long ago). It's great to be able to use this on KZbin, thank you. When I wake up around 5 or so i use this to get a " magic" 30 to 45 minutes of DEEP sleep in.

Gained clarity as to add a short pranayama to my own practice when I am getting a bit restless as I am practicing before going out with friends. Also, I realized that gently guiding myself to practice first before indulging distractions, rather than the other way around, is a kindness to myself as then I don't have so many mental reminders popping off throughout the day telling me to practice. That way I also don't have a cortisol spike closer to midnight as I want to maintain streaks of the same type of consistent practice for the benefits of one-pointed focus.

My experience, Last I remembered, I was listening to a woman's soothing voice. I was breathing deeply...then I woke up,6 hours later and 5 mins before my alarm clock. That was day 1. I'm glad I found out about this technique. Thanks you.

I recently decided to give yoga nidra a try and now I can't wait doing it each day. I feel like it saved my life, for a decade I used to chase spiritual experiences through entheogens and normal state of mind/relaity was making me depressed.This practice is rewriting my brain code. I found you through the Huberman Lab podcast and I am trying to do 1-3 a day. I get very little deep sleep, often none or less than 10-15 mins and I feel very lethargic when I wake. It takes me an hour or so to “wake up” and be ready for my day. I’m truly hoping this practice will help me sleep better as well as gain focus throughout my day. You voice is perfect as if you were meant to do only this! Thank you!

I think this was my first yoga Nidra session, in which I remained conscious and did not drift off to sleep. During visualization in the end of the narrative I truly felt as one with everything in the imagined world, even before the narrative invited to feel as one. And I immediately relaxed, felt like I was letting go of all tension. And I also became very sad, thinking that when I die it may be like that: as one with everything in the world, bodyless, weightless…But I felt better after the session - calmer, rested, more centered. Thank you so much for posting this recording.

Hi Ally. I've been practicing Yoga Nidra for many years. I had a cassette tape with 2, 30 min yoga Nidra sessions presented by an English woman called Gilian Ross. I bought it around 30 years ago when I lived in England ( I'm a New Zealander) A few weeks ago, this tape finally gave up its long and much utilized life..... Which lead me to find your Yiga Nidra recordings in KZbin . This practice has been my salvation and life line at times when I've struggled with chronic illness, insomnia & stress .
