Trust me you did an amazing job of explaining a very complicated topic in simple language that made it clear and easy to understand. Moreover the explanation was so engrossing the time frame was irrelevant…one of the reasons I love KZbin, turns out there are smart people who can explain the genius of mankind in a simple intuitive way!

@@MathAndScience Physics/physical experience is not very well understood in general. Neither is what is time. The top down understanding of physics/physical experience is very lacking. Consider what is E=MC2. Consider what is F=ma. The top down understanding of mathematics in general is very lacking. I saw one of the first Bell Labs gas lasers demonstrated when I was a Boy Scout in 1966. It's amazing how this video brought all the physics back to me 56 years later. The light was invisible, but the instructor transmitted music with the beam to a receiver 4 feet away and proved the existence of the laser beam by blocking it with his HEAD. We were sure he'd have a hole in his skull! Thank-you for the video.

As a mechanical engineer, I always wonder: How do I make the device which uses this concept? All of the theory in the world doesn't help unless we can put it into practice. In this case, we definitely can! Hearing things like "This is how we pick how long our ruby rod will be" makes me so happy! I could probably make a solid state laser with this knowledge! I have seen solid state and gas lasers before. You explain a solid state ruby laser pretty well. The CO2 lasers I have seen put high voltage through a glass tube of CO2 gas. This produces a vaguely purple glow. Mirrors at either end then reflect this light back and forth, and a beam leaves one end, which can later be focused and reflected through a system of mirrors to cut or engrave things with a laser. How neat! Also, the wavelength of CO2 is below where the human eye can see, so this laser is not visible light, but still very useful.

To add to this starting with the typical "Talcum in a Clear Tube" sound nodes collection of particles by resonances.., look into the Fractionation Column of an Oil Refining technology that uses photon-phonon heat and gravity to align chemical masses, to separate particles of Carbon chains and Refine them. (This video does a good job of explaining inside-outside quantization-frequency node properties) A very appropriate method of illustration for quantization cause-effect in Principle. Lasers, resonance-crystallisation show, in Principle, how Superconducting, superimposed frequency-amplitudes distribute holographic e-Pi thermodynamical time-timing spacing, simultaneously in i-reflection universal-now Flashed sync-duration crystallisation, event focused containment. Incredibly detailed. However it left me wanting a follow up episode to elaborate on the types of lasers. I’m a product of too much television as a result of being a 90s baby. Collectively my generations idea of what a laser is revolves around the hot beams of light that burn holes through things effectively “cutting through metals” and such. For the past couple months I’ve been fascinated with physics and in particular the electromagnetic spectrum (light) reeled me into the rabbit hole. My favorite section of the spectrum being Infrared Radiation. Which means the wavelengths that correspond to Infrared Radiation. In this clip it seems as though the laser discussed here is visible light. Hence the mentions of the light glowing red. I’m interested in an episode that expands on lasers and their practical modern uses across all categories of the electromagnetic spectrum from Radio Wave radiation to Gamma radiation. Can the information be exchanged via lasers comprised of Infrared Radiation or are those lasers only applicable as focused heat beams? Can lasers produced via Radio Waves also burn through material? And a fun section at the end would be discussing possible uses for lasers of each spectrum! I cannot find any educational content online that covers this subject matter.
