I use an amazing lawnmower, simple & light. None of that complex stuff, just the engine hard connected to the blade. When it got dull I just took an angle grinder & resharpened the blade myself. Hopefully, this lawnmower lasts forever.

It should. Same for everything else, like refrigerators, cars. Simple basic fridges, where freezer is on top, will outlast any expensive $1000-4000 fridges. That's why you see them in all apartments. Same for cars. Anything before 2010 is better than any 2024 models. That's why used cars are nearly the same as a new car. In the military, we do the same thing. Field vehicles have no electronic crap in them. Manual doors, steering, brakes, windows, windshield wipers, switches, gauges. Only thing electronic is the lights & wiring, but those are robustly built to NEVER fail.

The wankel engine seems to have such an unfinished design compared to the single cylinder. I mean I like the concept, but the problem is how easy it is for the wankel engine to break down compared to most cylinder engines. If a lawn mower were to use a rotary engine, it would be the LiquidPiston's Rotary Engine.

I like to see the Need to get further in-depth like with linkage on carburetor and manual or auto governors. With using diagrams of electric and mechanical To show the path on how this lawnmower really works. Cause I have one that won’t start and everything checks out ok without taking the engine apart. It Has compression has spark Carb getting gas. I’d like to see more info. If anyone has insight on a 725 series craftsman mower. I’d appreciate it. Thank you

My mower idled down and back up repeatedly. I found a weak butterfly spring. Simply adjusted the tension tab that the spring attaches to, and yipeee! Idle became constant and I was "off to the races".

They are opened by camshafts that are rotated by the engine the camshaft rotates half as much as the piston.

I can personally attest to the part about using gas with ethanol. In my area gas has 10% ethanol in it. After years of use it gummed up my system and I had to replace my carburetor. I now use non ethanol fuel only and I noticed a huge difference in performance and starting

Hello again I think I found the problem. You were right. I think it's this plastic piece on the end of the bail arm one end of the throttle cable sits in it. It looked a little worn down on the groove wear the throttle cable sits. And the cable was loosely in there when I held the bar down

And also don't store fuel in a shed, when hot the gas can could and can get pressurized and it can shoot fuel out when tipoed to fuel the mower It has happened and sprays gasoline everywhere.

Great vid except the part about the gas. He says 10% ethanol gas is okay, then says to add a fuel stabilizer when storing for a few months (like thru the winter when your grass isn't growing) so moisture doesn't build up and ruin the gas. Don't do this. So unnecessary. Just use non-ethanol gas. It's the ethanol that causes the moisture.
