Thank you so much for sharing. Nice and close shots. I have a Morse sewing machine and I was cleaning it a couple of days ago. I took the shuttle casing apart. As I was pulling it out, this piece of black plastic came out with it. In all the 50 years of having this machine I had never seen it before. (the machine is completely made of metal). Now Im trying to figure out where that piece goes. I cant get the machine to work now. Getting old I guess. Do you think you could help me with this.

I think I finally figured out why needles are breaking. It’s not hitting the plate, it’s hitting the case where the bobbin fits in. When the needle moves down, it causes the bobbin case to turn simultaneously, and then the needle moves down and hits a solid piece covering of the bobbin case ..Now, my guess is to unscrew the black latches that holds the case in…and somehow adjust it…what do you think?

In this model of the sewing machine, the bobbin case stands still, only the shuttle rotates. If the position of the hook at the moment of meeting with the needle is incorrectly adjusted, the needle may break. Remove the needle plate and check how everything works. thanks for the video. my needle keeps getting stuck when it's going back up, gets stuck to the pointy part of the shuttle hook. when the needle is going down, the needle stays behind the shuttle hook, but when it's coming back up, it directly hits the pointy part of the shuttle hook and cannot go further up. any suggestion?
