Yes, but they're arguing that AI creation essentially sends energy consumption into overdrive.

Humans’ fear of AI often stems from the uncertainty surrounding its future development. While this concern is valid, it’s crucial to recognise that AI’s core capability lies in its language-based logic and algorithmic operations. However, life and human experience transcend mere language or logic. The most fundamental difference between humans and AI is self-perception. Humans interpret the external world as a reflection of their internal state at any given moment. In contrast, AI lacks true self-awareness; it is a tool designed and programmed by humans, much like any other invention. What we must focus on is the intent behind AI’s use. Just like a knife, which can serve as a tool or a weapon depending on its user’s purpose, AI’s impact on society will ultimately depend on the intentions and ethics of those who design and deploy it. In terms of the environmental carbon footprint of artificial intelligence underscores a broader issue: the stark contrast between the luxurious lifestyles of the wealthy and the daily struggles of the poor. This disparity is as striking as comparing the conveniences of modern life to the hardships of the Stone Age. Since humans inevitably “waste” energy in their daily activities, the critical question is not whether energy use can be eliminated but how its environmental impact can be measured and mitigated. The fundamental truth remains: humanity’s survival depends on a sustainable Earth far more than the Earth depends on humanity. The focus, therefore, must shift toward responsible resource management and minimising harm. Exploring mature energy solutions, such as nuclear or hydrogen power, while addressing challenges like waste storage, is essential to striking a balance between technological progress and planetary health.

Was looking fwd to it. Then first guest speaks, and the audio was terrible. My advice, have an audio professional set a pre meeting. The day before, or a few hours before. They can give advice on how to ensure audio is good. In today’s day and age, all audio should be perfect.

The solution will be to integrate our biology with these machines via a brain-computer interface. Imagine the possibilities!

Behind every AI is the human who thought about putting together all those zeroes and ones. If the AI creator is operating from a moral perspective, then we get an AI that contributes to human flourishing. Otherwise, we could be seeing the beginning of human distraction. Why blame the creation for the greed or evil intent of the creator?

The biggest problem is not the machines starting thinking..... but people with real brains stoping thinking (becoming sheeps 🐑🐑)

😅😅 but algorythmes don’t think, they calculate...For the human I think since the plandemy, the brain starts to analyse and understand the big picture of all the mess in this planet and who are responsable for it.

@MalikaPrivé Maybe people in your country have started to analyze and understand, but people in my country (Algeria) and in most of the Arab region have stopped thinking for themselves, and following everything the fake Zionist governments say... even though they know that they are all agents of Western civilizations herd mentality which prefers to live the wrong way for the rest of their lives than to admit that they were so wrong and Deceived
