I was questioning the ethics and morality of AI, but once the environmental cost of the systems came out and after a 14 year old took her own life after AI deepfaked pictures with her face were spread around her school, my hate for AI was set in stone. And everything I've learned since then has further solidified my stance.

@Artopunk14 Unless there can be strong and enforcable regulations and ethics governing their use (especially the outlawing of voice, video and image generation and an update to the Geneva Conventions to outlaw AI use in militaries, including AI operated weaponry), I'll take a hard pass on that mindset.

It certainly will, tech companies will do whatever they can to avoid environmental considerations and investors will back them as long as they get their money. And we will continue treating the planet like we own it. That's the only kind of balance that we will get while profit remains our God.

How about using the revenues to build many SMR or Nuclear plants, they are necessary. Journalists should consider the impact that AI already has on their medium. It is the reason I will not be watching the full length of this video. Podcasts and radio-talk shows can be already emulated entirely with AI. And while your organization is highly recognized, my subjective experience is that this is not enough to lend credibility to an audio-only broadcast. There's no way for the listener to distinguish this content from AI content. I'm having great difficulty finding it credible. While AI content can also produce realistic videos to correlate with such audio productions, journalists can still be visibly present themselves, to comfort the viewer with their known practice of journalistic integrity.

Just st because you can see a person delivering a news and information segment does not mean the content they are reading wasn't generated by AI. But I think you're fairly safe in this instance my friend, however I do agree that "if in doubt opt out".
