Hey, I'm the guy who asked you about your channel the other day at the park. Love the content, love to see where you go with it.

If your fairway drivers are going further than your distance drivers, you need to change your angle, or you don't have the arm speed for distance drivers.

Where did you field test these at? I play at chattahoochee a lot as well and curious where you found this awesome field!

Simpsonwood Park. Also check out Garrard Landing off Holcomb Bridge on the way to ERP, it has a good field as well.

I have a full bag dedicated to lightweight discs, minus putting putters. Probably the most fun bag of discs I assembled.

I haven't thrown the Z-LITE, but I do throw a few lighter weight discs from MVP. In my experience, the benefit of throwing the lighter weight discs due to my arm speed outweighed the negatives of the wind. For example, I have a lighter weight Inertia and Tesla in my bag. Typically, on long straight shots I'll throw my Inertia, but into a headwind, I'll throw the Tesla. I've found that works better than taking a max weight disc that I can't really throw properly. If I'm going to be playing a sanctioned round, and I know that the weather is going to be windy and the course is wide open, I would likely take out my flippier discs. Normally, I try to keep my bag pretty consistent, and only rarely swap discs into or out of the bag. I play league rounds pretty regularly, so any casual rounds I play I want to be getting in reps with the discs in my bag.

I found these discs interesting because I also bag a few lightweight MVP discs, and for the most part I find that they do consistently fly further than my max weight discs. For example, I bag both a lightweight and max-weight Crave, and they have very different flights. I'm also tossing a light-weight X3 as my furthest-flying disc. I was just surprised I didn't get a little extra distance with the Z-Lite ones like I am with other manufactuers. But it is very impressive that I could still use these even in the wind.

i have a z-lite crank and z-lite nuke, 158 and 155. the crank is my bomber disc, but still reliable fade. the nuke is pretty stable. i can even forehand it. as an older player, i like lightweight options ... let the disc do the work and save my body :) *everything else i have is pretty much max weight, though.

I dont have any z lyte but do have special run esp light hades and zeus. And it's all I trow for the distance slot. My hades is 159g and it's by far my furthest bomb hyzer flip shot. I then have multiple 160g esp zeus which are super straight with fade at the end. By far my favorite stable distance driver. Compared to the esp max zeus I'd say it's just a workable version for us ams that won't turn.

I haven't gotten to try out many lightweight ESP discs yet, but I think I need to. I usually gravitate to ESP plastic anyway, so I will have to try to get my hands on some.
@nickyoceansyde9 ай бұрын
Correct me if I’m wrong. Lighter plastic isn’t more understable, just easier to get to high speed. So if it’s a disc that fits your arm speed it can give the impression of understability, but since most of your throws (mine too) are fairly low arm speed, the disc is too much disc regardless of weight, thus not reaching its speed rating required for the flight numbers. Result is same flight since it’s not up to the speed it needs to be
@andrewboyer84449 ай бұрын
That’s true in most scenarios, but z lite is typically more under stable than regular z when thrown the same speed.
@aron41179 ай бұрын
I think it's the z-plastic that make's it still stable. I have a 160-162 ESP athena and a 173-174 esp athena and the difference is notable. The 173 athena is basically a slower firebird and the 160-162 athena is an amazing disc that glides with reliable fade. Love bag lower weight discs. I got a 161 g star mamba that I love throwing on massive hyzer flip turnover shots

If your throw them flat. Youll get more distance. You're throwing everything on hyzer. The minute you stop doing that. Every disc wont seem so stable. Also aiming more straight ahead rather than Up will help adding distance. Moving forward for future videos, you should showcase the flight patterns thrown on a hyzer,Flat, and anhyzer.
@zebfrye90502 ай бұрын
A nose up hyzer throw is going to stall. Unless the throw is nose down you won't get a meaningful stability comparison.
