You can also down shift with high revs without touching the clutch lever. Try it, that's work perfectly

Which gear shift is smoother, the one you do yourself or the one the motorcycle does?

The quickshifter is pretty smooth but i can for sure shift even smoother in manual mode.

It's a shame the e-clutch doesn't blip the throttle on the downshifts, like a quick shifter does.

The cb650r and cbr650r, even regular models with the original quick shifter, don’t have throttle blip on down shifts because this bike still has a throttle cable. Electronic throttle (ride by wire) motorcycles do that.
