Anyways I've been using tiegie Hanley for 3 months now, and the AM and PM creams are really really miraculous but the daily wash, if you have an oily skin doesn't work well, so I'll using lumin for the next 2 weeks and see how it goes.

I think I'll go back to my standard routine, I've been using the 5 pound L'Oréal Charcoal Face wash insted of the Tiegie Hanley one (I got an oily skin like yours and it does the trick) and then standard AM and PM creams with the a scrub two times a week

You know, my personal opinion is that people who live outside of the US have a harder time getting their products and if its a mistake than it takes even longer to fix. I got the free trial about a month ago and have been satisfied, but now I am somewhat skeptical of what the exfoliating rub really does. They claim that when using the exfoliating rub you get what in theory looks like dead skin coming off when you massage it in. I had no reason not to believe this because it does in fact look like dead skin coming off. Now, just out of curiosity I tried this on a mirror to see if it was actually skin or the product drying balling up on its own. To my surprise, THE EXFOLIATING RUB BEGAN TO BALL UP AS I RUBBED IT AGAINST THE MIRROR!! I am now highly skeptical to whether it is actually dead skin balling up or just the product drying on your face as you massage it in! Has anyone else tried this?!

So let me be clear I’m not a skin expert. Buy let me say this. You almost never going to see dead skin fall off. it is literally too small. So the exfoliating rub acts kinda like a dead skin scrapper. It’s coarse enough to remove the skin but not so rough to damage your skin. I can totally understand the confusion because they def make it seem like it’s skin that’s coming off. But trust me...that is not the case. Imagine seeing chunks of your skin falling off hahaha I’d be screaming. Hope I was able to give some clarification

Eli K hey thanks for asking, I was about to comment in the next 1-2 weeks. So far I’m fine with that. Exfoliating rub is pretty awesome I love to touch (yes I know I shouldn’t really) my forehead after using it. Charcoal is also wicked few times I missed to use them on daily basis due to long shifts yet I love the feeling that I have after having used. Moisturizing cream fantastic too I love it! I can’t say my skin has been changed or so but I have a good feeling that once I clean my skin with Lumin products I know I did something to keep my skin cleaned. I’m off to a cosmetician in the next few weeks tho to clean my blackheads. Anyway next Lumin package is due next week I guess. I’m just simply happy with the products I got :))

I’ll get out dry my face and depending on what day it is I’ll use the exfoliating rub. But I don’t wash my face and then use the products. I think that would be too harsh for my skin. But everyone is different

Yeah no problem I had this same question when I started. So when you order the trial you will be signed up for a monthly subscription But don’t worry you can cancel and it’s easy. All you do is email them and tell them you’d like to cancel. They will email you back a link and it’s pretty straight forward. I actually canceled as soon as I got it but after the results I renewed my subscription. Also if you do choose to keep your subscription. They will charge you every two months and send you two months supply of products. It’s actually really cool

I would definitely ask my dermatologist. But I have a topical cream with tretinoin specifically for dark spots. My routine is to wash my face with the cleanser and after I dry my face I use the topical cream and finish off with the moisturizer. I like to think about it like his. I wash my face to get rid of the dirt and then when it’s dry I put on the topical cream because that’s the first thing that’s gonna touch my skin and then I cover the rest of my skin with the moisturizer

Jaesthetics I think the tretinoin we both use is the same just for different purposes. Do you use the moisturizer balm they include? At the moment I use a cerave moisturizer and I heard the lumin moisturizer balm is way too thick and not good for acne. Also I do moisturizer first and then tretinoin but that’s just what my dermatologist said, similar to what you do just flipped. Also do you use the exfoliator as well before the tretinoin some days?

@@elik1491 I do use the moisturizer, it is my favorite product actually, but at first I was putting on WAY to much and it made my face really oily. The key is just to use a dab and massage really well, it take a few minutes for it to really absorb my skin. So MY routine is Morning: Charcoal, Balm or Moisturizer Night Charcoal, Tretinoin, Night Time Moisturizer Every 3 or 4 days I will use the exfoliater and yes I do still use the Tretinoin every night.

I got the exfoliating creme, dark circles and the moisturising balm. I think these are great products however you cant use it everyday , therefore there good to use it with your daily face cleansers. They make the exfoliating rub sound special but i dont think its all that but its still okay to use every 2-3 days. Overall, they moisturiser balm really works on my skin, i used to get very oily skin trough-out the day but using the moisturiser i feel like it controls how oily my skin gets. I recommend you trying aloe vera gel on your face overnight, it really works! TBF if you want a clear skin you just need to be consistent with your daily routine and it will get better and better.

My skin feels softer and not as dry. The charcoal cleanser I put small dabs on my face since it foams up really quickly on a wet face and use it twice a day. The exfoliate works well too 3 times a week. At first I didn't like the moisturizer cause it felt oily and heavy,but once I used it at night instead it felt great. I use a lighter moisturizer during the morning routine.

John Mertilus: yeah it’s really easy 1) use the charcoal cleanser - use your finger tips to apply until it starts to foam up, Really focus on your problem areas After about 30 seconds rinse with (warm water) Then you will use the exfoliating scrub. Now I only use this every 3-4 days. But it’s important to make sure your face is DRY as you rub it on. It will start to ball up. Work it in really well for about one minute then rinse again. The last product is the mistrusting balm. THIS by far is the best product. Apply it to your whole face If you can do this twice a day. When you wake up and when you go to sleep.

Depends on your level of activity. If you live a pretty calm life then once is fine. If you more active then I would say once in the morning and once at night. That way you can get all the dirt that accumulates in your pores throughout the day. If you received those products than you may have chosen the Correction Trio Set, which comes with the rub, balm and dark circle. The charcoal is included in the classic maintenance set

Yes wet your face before the Cleanser, But your face should be dry when using the exfoliater. Really Really dry......you want the product to "ball up"

That sucks I hate when that happens Maybe I can help you out? These Directions are from the website Cleanser Use the cleanser before sleeping and in the morning to remove impurities and oil buildup. Lather a pea sized amount of cleanser between wet hands and massage onto your face. Rinse foam off with warm water and follow with moisturizer. Exfoliating Rub Use 2-4 times per week at night or before shaving on a clean face. Follow with Moisturizing Balm. Start with a completely dry face. Massage a nickel sized amount of exfoliator onto your face. You should be able to feel the dead skin particles come off of your skin. Rinse off with warm water. Moisturizing Balm At night, apply generously all over the face to heal skin damage and boost hydration while sleeping. Apply to dry areas in the morning if extra hydration is needed. I use mine slightly different but this should work

There should be instructions on each container giving you a little bit of an idea, personally I've been using the product before bed and I started noticing results within just a couple days.
