I received my bear mini 2 days ago and tried it my first time yesterday, and there was no effect that I could see or feel. Did foreo give you info on the microamp capabilities for each of the settings for the bear and the bear mini? The manual just says vaguely that the bear can be more powerful. That's not really sufficient info for us science nerds.

I love your scientific approach to everything. I use NuFace mini, for around 2 months, and have seen subtle results. I'm happy with it. My only issue is that since I started to use NuFace my skin has become super dry. I switched from the NuFace gel to Aloe Vera gel and still experienced extreme dryness. Then switched to water based ultrasound gel that i purchased from Amazon and no change to the unbearable dryness. Is there a scientific explanation why microcurrent devices might cause skin dryness for some people? I'm usually an oily skinned girl. Thanks for another great video!

Love this! I’d love to see something similar on IPL devices for age/sun spot removal (skin rejuvenation.) Especially at home vs professional.
@michellemosher64594 жыл бұрын
I used IPL at a salon and BBL at my doctor. Same technology, different strength. IPL did nothing for my age spots but BBL was super effective: after 3 treatments, almost all spots were completely gone; a couple super dark spots were much improved but got darker again after several months to where they were only about half gone (I am very bad about sunscreen though... if you wear sunscreen religiously it should prevent the spots coming back). The way my doctor explained it to me, lasers that have enough strength to destroy pigmentation also have enough strengh to permanently damage skin, so salons get the laser machine sold to them with the higher settings disabled, while MD's get the same machine but without any restrictions. I assume a home device would be even weaker than a salon device, for liability reasons. I hate saying this but if you want to remove age spots, you have to pay for BBL. For what it's worth most of my spots were significantly better after one treatment - like 75% gone. I suppose you could try one treatment and use sunscreen religiously and that could be "good enough" for you.
@LouLou-yq9wx4 жыл бұрын
@@michellemosher6459 thank you for the very detailed information!! I am going to look into BBL with a doctor right now. I had no idea that salons where sold lasers with lower settings to the doctors office. Very interesting. Have a great day 😊
