Because the drones were never a thing. A few people overreacted to a hobby drone causing a panic and more people. Started looking up into the night sky and started seeing shit that wasn't there. They started mistaking planes and helicopters for drones so more and more people reacted and started flying their drones. People were in such a panic. They asked the government to respond and the government has no choice but to respond. And then people like you are asking if the drones weren't a thing. Why is the government responding?. It's negative feedback loop. It's the same thing that happened in Colorado a few years ago. It is always localized. Did no one realize that this also coincided with the biggest sale of the year on drones?
