It's social pressure and marketing too. I've been home prepping dog food for a long time now and been called a freak all along the way UNTIL it became trendy to pick up online dog food, now I'm considered cheap for making the meals myself. My newest puppy is a bouncy, happy and playful girl who just wants to make friends with EVERYONE lol.

Hey Dr. Francis I am thinking about getting an American hairless terrier and I keep seeing ads for this thing called farmers dog. It's a subscription based dog food that's supposed to be very healthy. Can you please lend me your opinion? I really want to have my dog grow up happy and healthy.

Hi just found your channel and wanted to know if you could tell me is I am doing a good job feeding my dog. I do home cooking, but since I know that most recipes do not contain all of the nutrient value, I always make sure to add some Afco approved raw dog food to my home cooking to cover those nutrient deficiencies. Specifically, I use primal freeze dried raw nuggets, chicken flavor. Right now the two recipes are used are 2 salmon fillets, one sweet potato, one carrot a half a cup of peas, one celery stock and 2 3 chicken breasts, one cup of uncooked brown rice, but served cooked one carrot, one zucchini, A half a cup of peas these recipes are in one big batch, and I serve her of these recipes since she is a small 10 pound dog a half a cup, two times a day, topped with two primal nuggets to cover the nutrient deficiencies She also gets goat milk for calcium.

can you do a video on dosage of daily nutrients? I am going off the NRC requirements but I want another opinion. For example, should we aim to give 100% of amino acids? I think so, but maybe theres something I dont know such as maybe there is such a thing as too much protein. Even for minerals, I am worried that I should drop the daily intake to about 50-70% so as not too give my pets too much minerals but I cant find ANY research. huge thanks if you read this and respond
