When a spark plug fires, the voltage across it drops from 15-20kV to about 1500V for the remaining duration of the spark. This motor has the plugs for the two additional cylinders connected to two existing plugs. That means when one of the paired plugs fires it will steal the voltage needed for the other plug to fire. It is rare for two plugs to fire at exactly the same voltage, so whichever one fires easiest will prevent it's mate from firing. So the motor will not consistently run very well.
