How Does Swedens BEST Burger Stack Up?

As a swede during my 40+ year life it never occured to me that Zingo is a swedish soda... I've always thought of it as; like Pepsi is to Coca Cola, Zingo is to Fanta. :D Apparently the soda was released around 1960 but then it was called Ingo, referring to the famous swedish boxer Ingemar "Ingo" Johansson. Only two years into their business they went bankrupt, and it's believed that Zingo was born from that by just adding a Z. ;D If you want to try some other unique swedish sodas you can look for Champis or Pommac, branded in 1910 and 1919 respectively.

Zingo have more orange juice than Fanta, also still all sugar and not runied with artificial sweetener like standard Fanta is.

@@Revener666 Yeah but Fanta was something else like 30 years ago when Loranga was a thing, wasn't it? With pure sugar. I read now that a "normal" Fanta contains (acesulfam K, aspartam), I think both sweeteners are linked to an increased risk of cancer. Well, fortunately I don't drink Fanta at all. When it comes to yellow sodas I'd prefer ICA passion fruit with just 7 % sugar and nothing else. Ups, I said too early. I doesn't contain any artificial sweetener however it does have 8 E-substances. Maybe I'll stick to squeezing half a lemon into a glass of water instead...

The fella that said a single patty would have made the difference is spot on. Ratios are so important and the way a burger is built. If the patty is a thick coarse grind and really juicy then a Portuguese roll ir a kaiser type roll, brioche no good. The vendors should know either do singles of that size patty or do a double with half the weight patties so the bun holds up. So frustrating. The chicken rice looked great.

Their peppery pattys was made for my tastebuds, have eaten on most places in Stockholm and we have ALOT of burgers that are 8/10. Don't forget the fries, first time i was there i said im never gonna pay 50-60sek for fries, i rather have another burger instead however when i decided to buy the fries it's large and you get two dips so it's actually a good deal, most other places take 30-35sek for a large fries and 15-20sek per dip. Need to try the chicken over rice some day!

Brioche buns are always disappointing IMO. Patty looked absolutely amazing. Really good price for a non-chain 300g meat burger, guessing extraordinarily cheap for Stockholm.

Yeah, their prices are nice and honestly their burgers are great, but you want to go with the single because otherwise the meat can overwhelm everything else and you risk the bun not holding up.

Alot of smaller town in Sweden have 200g burgers that cost more than their 300g.. So that price is insane for what you get in Sweden

If they had buns big enough to take all that meat they would need an oven to bake them for themselves. Many kebab/pizza joints in Sweden bake their own flat bread because they throw so much meat in them that if they use standard, store bought flat bread this happens aswell. The bread desintigrates because of all the sauce and meat juice XD

Zingo, was actually first made as Ingo a tribute to the Swedish boxer Ingemar Johansson heavy weight champion of the world 1958-1960, but when he lost the title to Floyd Patterson the company decided to rebrand the Ingo drink and put a Z infront, Zingo was born!

"Fika" means "coffee"(kaffi), essentially. Slang for a coffee break. Its so essential to Swedish culture its mandated by law, employers must give you a fika break a couple of times a day. Also a common first date suggestion. Its neutral, any time of day, it can be long or short time.

We have an official national competition in burgers every year, it’s been won by the same butchers last two years, you’ll find them in the south of Sweden at a camping place in Fagerhult. Their stuff is in a whole other league! I’ve been a judge since 2019 at the competition, 4 out of 5 year the winner has been with meat from their butchery.
