Man the touch pad is missed opportunity all around. It is usually just a giant button sadly. Mostly always has been.

@DrGamelove I'd agree would have been nice to see the ability to drag your finger with the pad and use ad a mouse pad per say. The best approach I can see currently as mentioned is the dpad usage

Thanxs.. Not being able to mark the map I find really frustrating and not having cyberware able to hotkey is awful. I think the controller options are bugged as well. I love the game but it one of the most poorly optimized games for controller I've ever dealt with.

I played the original, though I didn't get to finish it so I was excited this was released. Came here to see if there was a way to prevent usage of battery packs since, for some reason, it's the binding for interact and upon attempting to interact with something it just auto uses the item. Other than the irritation on wasting an item, I'm loving it.

Does anyone know what the second role in the rebinding of controller buttons is because it doesn't explain what that second row is for? And also why when you change the jump button to left button does that crossover into the menu so you can now no longer scrap things if you rebound X and L1 so you have to rebound your controller so the rebinding controller buttons in the game is pointless I think

Just figured it out. I'm on PS4, if that makes a difference. Add and remove marker on the map screen are essentially modes you select. Scroll over and press X when the cursor is hovering over add marker, and you're now in add marker mode. Scroll over to where you want to place it and press X again. Placing a marker resets your cursor to normal, so you must repeat this process each time you want to place a new one. To remove them, do the same as above, but select remove marker, then press X when the cursor is on the marker you want removed. Again, markers can only be removed one at a time, and you must repeat the entire process for each marker you want to remove. It's very tedious and awkward, with no indication of what mode you're in, but it works and can be done. Edit: Actually, I just noticed that whatever mode your cursor is in is highlighted in yellow, so disregard that last part.

Any idea what the 'zoom in' and 'cycle hardware' functions do? They aren't bound to any buttons by default, but they're present under controller binds in the options menu. Even when assigned, I can't get them to do anything. I'm still in the early game, are they functions which are unlocked later? Edit: Additionally, can anyone explain why there are apparently two simultaneous bind options for each function? Seems unnecessary, not to mention confusing. Incidentally, 'use explosive' doesn't seem to be able to be reassigned to anything other than R1. Finally, has anyone figured out if hardware like the flashlight, sonar, and shield can be hotkeyed? I'd like to be able to toggle them without having to open the menu and scroll the cursor over their icons, it's pretty clunky. Thanks in advance.

I’m 10 hours in and this remake is excellent. No handholding, no hide behind cover to regain health, if you want to progress you better be paying attention. Very good looking, bug free , and excellent frame rates on PS5. I highly recommend this, just know this game is unforgiving and amazing

Hey there. Keybinds can be re adjusted in menu also although as I mentioned there is an oversight on map waypoint placement which hopefully they add in. Unfortunately the only way I can see to transfer is to select your recycled material 1 x 1. Best way I found again to do this is to highlight with the dpad tap x then move to recycle with dpad also. Hopefully a quick method is added in an update along with the bug I mentioned

Hello! When I hold down the R2 button (shoot) in the inventory, the objects can be crushed into a small cube. I guess this is a quicker way to do it, so I don't have to do it one by one. The problem is that in this case it doesn't add, but deletes the already crushed objects, which is a problem because it throws away the money. Am I doing something wrong or is it buggy? I watched a video on PC, and there it adds and collects in the inventory.

I’m still unsure about this game. I’m very intrigued and like the aesthetics, but I heard it’s pretty unforgiving. Do you think this is enjoyable for those who like Bioshock, Fallout (3D ones), Half Life and stuff?

It doesn't hold your hand at all you need to be paging attention if playing the default difficulty. They did add a tailored difficulty selection so that you can add a form of waypoint system if you are struggling

I am slightly dissapointed about this version. No use of PS5 Controller Features like haptic Feedback, Touchpad or speaker for audio logs. Seems like very poor effort was put in this port. Feels more like a mod in alpha stadium.

I genuinely wish that this had a demo. I realized within the first half hour that it just wasn't for me. I'm deep into last of us and resident evil series and that's all I've been playing and I just really don't like this games setting. Nothing wrong with it...just not for me. Really wish I could get my money back on this one. I would recommend trying to pay it for free somehow before buying idk. A demo would have convinced me not to purchase.

Sorry to read you are not enjoying the game. Its an immersive sim not really an fps so this may catch people off guard
