In the future please discuss payload when talking about max towing. If you were to tow a 8,700 pound trailer with passengers and cargo you probably could exceed your payload capacity. Thanks

Yes sir. Absolutely. But not for me. I don’t want truck size, bod on frame and useless open bed doesn’t fit our needs. Rt T&G is a great all rounder that takes me back to the sounds known when dad fired up his 454. And with four young grandkids we cart all over the mountains, six bucket seats with step thru rear is a must. Towing a 20’ Astream on a weekend a bonus. But importantly, I want to enjoy a (reasonable gas slurping) 5.7 that sounds like it has a personality before I get a unicorn 🦄 farting eco/electric something-which is coming one day. But until then 😄 👋

My question is: what is the deal about Dodge Durango having a large discrepancy of payload on door panel and their website? It is now 2022 and they do it on new models. How can you come up with 1200lb payload max but website for Durango RT says you can get it for about 1900lb payload? I see people have been asking this question for several years with no one really addressing this. You can have a 7000lb trailer with 4 adults and gas but 1200lbs can be hit pretty fast. How hard is it to put correct sticker on door panel? This discrepancy seems to be legally questionable in my opinion, because the government goes by the sticker.

@@rightlanehog3151 sure, if they exist, but there are no such mirrors. The package combines all the options built to make this better at towing. There is no such mirror, they don't exist, there's no tow mirrors to include. The full size truck ones don't directly bolt on. Also the package itself isn't expensive. The overall truck is, but the package is basically the same as if all these compliments were added a la carte.

Here is my conundrum, I want max seating. If I only wanted to seat 6 I can do that in a RAM 2500/3500. I have yet to see one with seating for 7, which is my minimum for going non truck. I love the power, and speed, but I can also get the 9 passenger diesel suburban/yukon (fully optioned) for the same price... Now, 9 passenger only comes on the low trim level, so no leather or sunroof, which I wanted, but 27 mpg in a bigger, more roomy suv? That moves the needle. I also really wish toyota offered a front bench and a sequoia that didn't look like garbage. The new one has been out for nearly 15 years and has never sold well because the original was sharp and it is an ugly blob.

The tq is even further behind. Look at the old crummy 5.4 triton. 09+ flex fuel made 390tq 320hp. The 5.7 preformance is 11 years behind schedule.
