The iPhone upgrade program "sounds" like a good deal on the surface, but in this video we're going to break down how it works and if it's a good fit for you. This is highly going to depend on how you use your iPhone, when you typically upgrade and what carrier you use.

Okay. Just 1 question. First of, loved this, detailed and right to the point. You did fantastic. Now, would I be able to do a trade in for the next iPhone if I joined the program? (Ex) I have iPhone 13 Pro Max that I’m financing thru AT&T. If I pay that off when the iPhone 14 comes out, can I use it for a trade in thru with the upgrade program?

Basically: 1. Makes Apple Care + essentially free 2. Basically forces you to pay the equivalent of a new iPhone every 2 years

I would sign up for apple’s upgrade program but they don’t have my phone carrier

After the first 12-month period, I get a new device option right. So for example, I started with 14 & upgrade to 15 after 12 months. So if I pay off the remaining 12 months I can keep the 15 without extending my contract or do I have to continue the cycle? This means I get to use two phones for the cost of one and end up with the latest model after the 24 period. Am I right?

Bro… Cricket is AT&T , Metro is T-Mobile and Verizon is Xfinity Mobile. They will work, find a friend that uses that program and slide your SIM card in. Now when they lease it , what ever company you activate it with first it’s stuck on their for at least 3 months or the full 12 months.

Sure that hack can work if you actually know someone who has an account with one of those companies and is willing to lease a phone on your behalf. But not everyone has that luxury.

I don't think the upgrade program is a good fit, but I'd say you should either get to a 13 pro max using the program that Apple uses in recent years after you've got approved for every carriers you've chosed to trade in the current/old phone for a latest phone

I personally think the best way to buy iphones now is to just purchase them in cash, that way you can do what you want and sell as quickly as needed. But not everyone can afford that so this might be a good choice for some on a budget always looking to have the latest phone.

@@OnlyiPhones yeah, I guess that works out, but the only thing that I didn't want to sell my 12 pro max was because it had my personal informations in it, so maybe transferring it to a brand new 13 pro max would be great, unless if it's transferred from my iPhone 12 in my bedroom, then I would have erased my things that it's in, making sure that the condition of it is still new or not because I don't wanna run into issues with this device!

@@David79YT Or you can just make an iCloud backup or a backup to your computer and you won't have to worry about it. You can transfer your info then to your new device

Hell do you own upgrade & just save up your money for the next phone and pay in full and unlocked that away you can use your phone with any carrier you want to use that’s what I would do.

Okay let’s me start with a few things u says are wrong been on program since it launched in the uk 1 I’m careful with my iPhone never smashed the screen but it nice to have piece of mind 2 0% apr 3 All iPhones are unlocked so work with every network Do your research before making a video

By "all iPhones are unlocked" it clearly states in the actual apple website to be used with only those 3 carriers. Meaning they won't work with any other carriers that aren't Verizon, T mobile, or AT&T. He is total right about just buying a unlock iPhone, if you have to money for it. Personally I wouldn't like being stuck on a carrier specific phone so I do buy iPhones out right, unlocked every two years. With the ability to sell it to anyone, anytime with no hassle about "it's only for Verizon".
