This video shows whats inside the Galaxy Note 7 S pen. Obviously Samsung isnt going to tell us exactly how the pen functions, but when we open it up and take a look at each of the components, we get a general idea of what the S-pen is capable of.
This video also shows how to replace the little stylus tips that come with the S-Pen. If they wear down, or get lost somehow, it is a very easy replacement.

A few weeks ago I was bored during physics class so I took my small victorinox keychain multitool and I started to cut a pencil and then i slipped with a lot of force and it got very deep into my left index finger (of course I took it out right away) and it started to bleed alot, there was blood on the wall, on my jeans, on my table and on the floor and I was in panic from the inside but I put my bloody hand up just like nothing was going on and the teacher asked "what happened" and I replied "I cut myself" and he was in panic and he told me to go to the bathroom and that's what I did. while I was was walking to the classroom door everyone started to yell. when I was out of the classroom walking to the bathroom I left a trail of blood drops. When i got in the bathroom I spoiled it with water till it didn't bleed that much anymore and then I tied some toilet paper to it so it wouldn't get infected and I went back to the class, some classmates helped me and the teacher asked me how it happened so I told him "I was playing with my keys" but he saw that knive so he said that I should better not take that anywhere with me and let it home. I was so happy that there was only 1 hour left till school was over and I can go home because I didn't feel comfortable at school. when I was home I hid it from my parents because they would panic. So a few weeks passed and I still can't feel anything with 1/4 of my left index finger so I damaged a nerve. A few days ago my physics teacher asked me "you aren't playing with knives anymore are you?" so I said "no". There is still blood on that knife BTW.

Those coils actually are threads that not only have electromagnetic detection integrated, but they also sense the slight changes in pressure so they are actually what sends the info to the board regarding pressure applied to the pen. Used many Wacom pens. Same tech

Did not know it is completely powered inductively. Very interesting! Any idea how much power that consumes? Can you turn it off, so the pen stops checking for a pen? How many coils are needed for the pen to be useful on the whole screen?

I really love my Blue Coral Note 7. I ordered it on the 2nd of Aug. got it delivered on the 16th. The Note 7 isn't the only product I have and love by Samsung, I also have a 4K SUHD Curved Smart TV, shows vividly awesome bright true colors while showing the blackest of blacks. It's is if the display pops right out at me. Also have a Samsung surround sound system hooked to my TV. Dishwasher, washer and dryer and fridge french door style.

The silver, (as you say) 'clicky part' broke off the S pen for my Note 10+ but the pen still works. I have ordered another one and it's on its way, but in the meantime I came looking on KZbin to see if this had happened to anyone else and maybe there was a video about gluing it back on. (Obviously, I'm quite aware that if I don't glue it back on JUST RIGHT, there will be no more clicking.) Anyway, I had to leave a comment for the simple fact that I enjoyed your video tremendously!
