EDIT: And of course there's still a mistake in this video. Despite me literally talking about it on stream yesterday, I forgot to include that rain will water flowerbeds. Luckily this is just an aesthetic thing, so it's one of those small mistakes that I can live with. This video is a reupload because I made a very significant mistake. In the original version I claimed that guests don't get thirstier in hot weather while they actually do. Small mistakes and omissions I can live with, but when I specifically say something is a myth while it isn't it's too much. The new bits are at 14:57 (does snow count as rain?), 17:40 (path also covers rides), and 24:46 (guests get thirstier when it's hot).

Its truly a work of art and I want to play so much right now but I don't currently have access to my computer! I prevent the brakes failure from being catastrophic by placing brakes at the end of the ride right before the station, usually 2 or 3 in gradually increasing brake strength to slow the train down to a crawl followed by one chain piece to pull the train back into the station, never failed me.

In OpenRCT2 you can use cheats to look at the scenario options and check the climate, but otherwise you will just have to observe the temperature. In March you can already tell the difference between cold, cool & wet, and warm/hot & dry, and then in April warm and hot & dry also have a different base temperature, allowing you to tell them apart.
