i'm gonna be honest, i don't think the gap between this and other tas stuff is all that significant sure, there's no absurd timing nor precision required for this, but it'd make for an absolutely _mindnumbing_ process of constantly pausing, clicking on tens the hundreds then thousands of tiny pixel men, clicking on a ui button for each, clicking on the water for each, unpausing, then pausing and repeating the process again a few seconds later. and all the while, you have to stay alert and not daydream nor have your focus drawn anywhere else, because inattentiveness could cause forgetting to renew ads or letting guests drown, which could kill a run you just spent hours of building up rsi for in an instant. and you might not even be certain it's dead til the deadline's approaching after several more hours without exaggeration, this sounds like Actual Torture. it's frankly easier for me to imagine someone getting good enough at video games to pull off a tas route of a mario or zelda game in real time than having the mental fortitude and wrist endurance to sit through all this

@Phlip455 ай бұрын
In RCT1 you may be able to pick up more than one guest at a time, for the picking state mentioned at 3:40. There is a bug where pressing backspace while holding a guest in the pincers will close their UI window and leave them hanging on the screen. Picking up a new guest will remove the graphical bug, but will not replace the guest on any path or part of the park, and instead they are left in a sort of suspended animation with the action they are taking being shown as [select location]. Not sure if that would work.

After seeing negative 33,000 park rating, I must know how low the rating can go!
@ElusiveEllie5 ай бұрын
Depends on how many bits they allow for that number. I can't imagine they went over 32 bits, because that would allow a park rating of -2,147,483,648 (give or take one or two). However, if they allow 64 bit values, you could see up to -9.223 x 10^18, or -9 quintillion.
@darmorel5495 ай бұрын
This is surprisingly complicated. The player can use 9601 sprites in total (in vanilla). Rides, litter, guests, and staff take from this number. Clearly we want zero staff here, so that easy. We also want zero litter since it will cut into the amount of guest we can have, do to it being worth only -4 per. With 3 rides, you can get -500 with crash train unit. Let says this take 5 sprites per to be generous (I cannot find a good number online, but as long as you dont use more then 23 per ride, this is more then you get per lost guest), taking 15 sprites. It worth noting that one guest does need to be on the ride for this to count. Then we need to get another 500 rating by killing 20 guest by drowning AFTER these rides crash (crash rides will not add to the penalty if you have 500 in this category) but before the day is up (since the penalty will decrease at the start of the day). That leaves 9566 sprites fore guests, which we must minus 25 from since they dont count against lost guests. Then we times the result, 9541 by 7, resulting in 66782 negative rating for lost guest. There also 153 positive rating for having 2000 guests, and a -100 rating if you have harder rating enable in the game, so a positive 53. When we add this with the lost guests and the casualties number, we get 67,734 negative rating. The funny thing is, this number would result in a overflow glitch in vanilla rc2 and still end up at -2198 park rating. In open RC2, you can have way more guests (around 64k if memory serves), which will dwarf this number do to lost guest being so impactful.

For the path falling method, you could raise the land and place them/have them fall on path undergeound. That way you wont have to pay support costs.
@MarcelVos5 ай бұрын
That did get into my mind as well while editing the video. The land height limit in vanilla isn't very high, but it still allows you to pay $32 for a piece that would otherwise cost $117, so I could that would work financially. Unfortunately replacing the path isn't as automatable. You could theoretically use an autohotkey script or something, but that becomes fairly complicated and probably breaks really easily. Drowning is also more fun anyway.

Or what's the maximum amount that you can have guests actually access (ie: with paths)? You could probably shove a bunch more inaccessible rides onto a map that you can accessible ones, though the inability to build presaved designs at higher heights would probably make answering such a question actually in-game borderline torture. I guess it could be mathed out too, since it'd just boil down to a numbers game anyway. But where's the fun in that :) ?
