the answer to why he did 900+ dmg at like mintue 19:15 or so is because you had little defense which he could penetrate by 25(from blessing+toxic blade)+30 prot reduction from stone cutting sword, that pretty much left u with around 50 defense(cuz u regained your 30 prot with your one SC sword), he had a decent ammount of power and horus' 1 does like 50% extra dmg to knocked up enemies so if he had like 300 basic attack power the dmg makes sense, but it was mostly due to your lack of defense

The reason why is because you didn't build any protections until last item, and Horus has a 30 prot shred. You had stonecutting, but so did he, so you effectively had no defense built. Normally, that'll hurt you a lot in duel, but obviously you can get away with it. You can't do that against a god with that big of a protection shred, though, because mitigation isn't linear. If you had, say, 150 physical protection, he would do 40% of his unmitigated damage. After the shred, he would do 45%. 5% makes a difference, but obviously not huge. At the 71 protections you had before item effects when you died, he would do 58%. After the shred, 71%. You are effectively giving him more than double the bonus damage from his protection shred by building no defense, on top of already being squishy, so he's going to fucking slap you. That's why the few gods that have flat protection shred are heavily balanced around it in conquest. I believe Cerberus, Cernunnos, and Horus are the only ones. None of them are great backline divers, so they're often hitting tanky gods, where the flat shred does much less. Cernunnos also has to give up the extra damage per auto for it on the 1, which is a pretty huge sacrifice. Horus and Cerberus both have to use abilities that make them very vulnerable, and are likely to get dumped on if they use them without being careful.

I trying the Horus with the same build against a Odin bot level 1 in training. I am doing true damage without any abilities. He didn’t have red buff, and true damage to a level 1 Odin bot for the Horus 1 is 329 and 441 (ichival and stone cutting are fully stacked). That Horus is dealing like 150 extra damage for some reason.

Horus's whole thing is the combo. The dash/stun lowers your physical defense then that follows with a heavy hitting attack. Then if you're knocked up the gust of wind does bonus damage if you're still in the air when it hits. It also slows for a bit. As a Horus main one of the best ways to counter is wait for him to use "gust" on the minions as that's the only way he clears them and attack when it's on cool down. Or if he misses the stun in the combo. Without the stun he is a wet noodle, but his heal also gives minions a small defense boost for a second that's why his minions normally beat yours

Horus 2 + stone cutting put you down to 41 defence at 18:30, with the 15 pen from toxic he's doing true damage to you. Him being a warrior with warrior scalings + breastplate with stone cutting evens out your sword. Leaving you with 30 pen vs his 136 defence, that extra cooldown is massive on you aswell.

# crunch, in the fight that he 1 hit you** your base protections at lvl 19 as fenrir is 71. you had stone cutting which gives you 30. total you had 101 physical prots. his 2 has a protection shred of 30 at max rank which rendered stone cutting out of the equation. 71 physical prots, he has stone cutting with decreases those another 30, as well as toxic blade which has 15, and assassins blessing which has 5. in total he has 50 pen. which meant he was hitting you at 21 protections.

In my opinion, being tanky like a warrior is so busted, they take no damage but deal a whole assloads. Not necessarily talking about duel but in general.

Warriors generally have burst and cc. Their DPS is usually bad, and relies on melee basic attacks that they can't use for very long in teamfights. All else equal, most hunters will destroy most warriors lategame. Solo has also been widely considered the least impactful role in conquest for a long time now. That has a lot to do with the meta and the way the map is structured, but obviously they aren't too busted or they'd have a bigger impact.
