When you hire your own family members in the private family foundation, and issue them checks ( assuming it’s w2 ) then don’t you and the employees have to pay taxes on it - so how is that more beneficial ? How am I saving money by not paying taxes?

Thanks for this, though with Trump being charged for business crimes does make me fearful of emulation. The state I live in is VERY landlord unfriendly and due this don't want to play that reindeer game. Looking at the Foundation option, is the 5% based on cash on hand, cash accrued that year or total assets? IS there a limit / guideline of what can be paid to the foundation employees? Lastly, how much should you be donating to make this all worth it ? How much is too much?
