@@autumnwitchmaple yeah uhhh no. A) I defintely wasn't a pile of rocks with no sentience that paradoxically gained sentience and then became a sentient pile of literal rocks that wished to be in bear form. And B) I really don't need or care for you forcing your beliefs on me. Believe what you want, but do so yourself. The vast majority of all global conflicts in human history is because people like to tell others their personal beliefs with no respect or forethought for the other persons. And I'd personally prefer we have less reasons to for violence. Aka I don't care for or want to hear about anyone's man made religions and beliefs that were used solely as tools for war and controlling the masses
@autumnwitchmaple8 ай бұрын
Actually, conflict in human history is motivated by resources, and blamed on faith. The leaders do not often believe the shit they are peddling, they just use that to sell the wars to the masses. It's unfortunate how much faith has been used as a tool to destroy mankind and our history. But you're throwing out a lot of babies with the bathwater if you disregard any spiritual experience any human has ever had. It's like, a whole thing we do. But yeah, find your own truth, don't listen to mine. Just wanted to share somethin I thought was cool lmao

Honestly, the first big buff Shaker got was just Blink Dagger no longer requiring mana. Sometimes he'd have to get arcane boots just to be able to afford blink + spells, which only further increased his net worth requirements. When Blink's mana cost was removed, he could just be brown boots, wand, and go Blink.
@Mprokess8 ай бұрын
I would say adding Arcane Boots to the game... Arcane Ring was fine, but Arcane Boots are soooo much better.

ES, Magnus, Axe, Leviathan and other strenght heroes with low int really got benefited from it. You even needed arcane boots or int items to have enough mana to cast the spells

I feel like Earthshaker is just the epitome of a DotA hero. When you want to describe what DotA heros are like, you point to Earthshaker (and also probably Invoker) I can't think of many DotA heros that are as iconic as ES. Even when looking at DotA 1 highlights, a DotA 2 player who has never seen DotA 1 (even a casual one) will immediately be able to recognize ES from his massive fissure animation.

Was really looking forward to this video, ES is one of my favourite characters in dota. It's a shame what happened to Earthshaker with the game wide changes to stun duration and he will forever serve as a perfect example as to why game devs need to be careful when they adjust mechanics game wide. As a hero whose entire kit revolves around stunning the enemy team, by effectively halving stun durations across the board (including his), that all but deleted this heroes competitiveness (especially as a support). The way he is being played currently revolves around totem and the big hits or echo slam into large groups of enemies, hence why core shaker is still playable. I've seen this so many times across different games, where the theme of a specific character/class/archetype/whatever is 1 thing (mobility, disables, damage, support, etc.) and then that thing either gets nerfed via a game wide mechanical change or is just given to everyone else and that character/class/archetype just falls off completely because now its 1 unique thing is gone or everyone has it, but everyone also still has their own thing on top of that characters niche. Hopefully Valve can give ES his niche back in the future. It's a shame to see such an iconic character just fall off in that way.
@skillorzor8 ай бұрын
Can we also acknowledge that ES has amazing voice lines by the great John Patrick Lowrie! Great video on one of my all time favorite heroes! One thing I also remember why ES offlane and carry was viable at some point was Totem’s “true strike” ability. Many agility heroes buy butterfly which gives them evasion and made them hard to hit. To counter that heroes were required to purchase MKB. ES didn’t need that and was able to spend that money elsewhere.
