This made me actually laugh because I just ditched my ridge for a scudo switch. The ridge just isn't my style and in my opinion is worth half their asking price. I got the forged carbon and ended up at still over $100 for it with a discount code and i justified it because everyone said it was so good and then i lived with it for a year and just kept saying i just need to get used to it. When i got my scudo I instantly knew how to use it and it's been extremely more efficient for me and was $94, moral of the story is make sure you know exactly what you want before looking for an "alternative" wallet, my ridge is going to a friend that didn't want to pay $100 for a wallet so at least he's getting a deal and i hope it works for him.

Just some feedback. I think the head should have been more secured to represent a real persons head a bit better. Some of the force from projectiles is being lost due to the head flying back and absorbing some of the force that would usually go into the glasses. A real person isnt going to fly 5 feet after being hit by shrapnel or whatever.

The phenomenon of the projectiles deflecting off of the safety glasses and into the face is exactly why I advocate for a full face shield in most applications. A full face shield also puts more distance in between your face and the "lens", which means it can absorb heavy impacts without crushing the bridge of your nose. Add in the fact that a full face shield also prevents dust and chips from getting behind the lens and into your eyes, and it becomes a clear choice in a lot of situations.

@@bwc1976 Yes they are. It also depends on the application you're working with and the size of glasses. If you're wearing them because of wood working, normal glasses are fine. It's when you get to metal where you need actual safety glasses.

I think it depends on what the job is you’re doing. I would think if it was welding or something that involves metal or operating certain machinery yes safety glasses should be worn also. But if it’s something minor I would think your regular glasses would be fine

Bought the KORE Ballistic and ansi rated shooting glasses and so far love them. They have magnets that secure them on a sleeve or in your pocket. Also the strap to use to hold them to the visor. They say they are superior for using at the range. They are now my everyday sunglasses… better then my Oakleys.

My dad was a machinist. He had custom made safety glasses so he didn't have to wear his glasses under them. (Wood working with regular glasses is fine but when you start to deal with metal you need actual safety glasses) They were about $100 each and he went through 10 or so a year. Upside the company he worked for compensated him for the safety glasses.

I use the framed ones under a different name of Nemesis from Amazon and they hold up very nicely and the rubber nose was added protection when i had a small piece of uni strut fell on my saftey hat and pushed them down and lenses didn't pop out.
