I'm not a boomer, buuuttt I'm like this. I get the suitcases outta the shed a week before to make sure all the smell is out before I start to put my stuff (according to the list I made) in it over time before I leave. I harrass the kids daily to make sure they've done their laundry and get the house clean before we leave so it's not a mess when we get back.

This totally speaks to me but my dad is actually 90 and is the SILENT GENERATION (1925-1945) - work hard, save money, loyal, cannot handle hardly any technology, didn't do anything to call attention to themselves, worked the system rather than fight it. I am a GEN X and proud of it. Alot of the material reminded me of our generation but we are also hard workers, not complainers and save money, did not grow up with technology but do what we have to do to get the job done and take all the time off we can get our hands on...no regrets.

My Grandparents were born around 1923. I spent a lot of time with them growing up so I often see things through their eyes. The Silent Gen are here and yet left behind. Everything is online. Banking, med appts, and shopping (need to go online for 70% off!) Etc. Even something as simple (and needed) as TV has become complex and problematic. The media and politicians don't even seem to realize they exist.

They got lessons at the university nearby on using computers, but they only understand so much and want to learn only what they need to get by. Politicians have dismissed them.
